Gee some people are rude, made an inquiry on marketplace this morning, I saw they had read my inquiry and have not responded, Oh well life goes on... Picked a couple of Boysenberries today, George got them to try and he said they were sweet and juicy so they are a goer for the freezer. He went for his MRI today and he was turned away because he has an prosthesis from the car accident he was unable to have it done because the X/R people need to know the model serial # before they can do an MRI so he came home,
He rang the rooms of the surgeon and explained he needed the info to tell the X/R people and they check their list and reschedule the scan. OK sounds simple enough BUT this lady on the desk refused because she didn't know if G was G?? I was so bloody angry I was shaking so into gear I went. I rang the rooms of the bone man and told them what I had been told. She was aghast but she then rang the other surgeons caretaker on the desk and said the bone man wants the MRI done and to send the ino needed to the X/R people today.. I was still Peed off s I rang the Medical complaints people and they were also WThe?? No that is not correct, the woman is sending complaint forms out plus I also asked for the FOI forms (that will pee the caretaker off) Anyway to end it I rang the X/R people, and told them they are to expect the info they need. Apparently the X/R people have a list of types model #'s of all implants to compare before an MRI. There you go, excitement for today. Some of those bovines on Drs reception desks think they are him all mighty, but I don't let that crap get past, none of their business why you are there and the referrals I hand to the Dr himself. Ed of rant. Goodnight everyone :D x Goodnight Toolman :D x 3 more new imported covid cases into SA today. I am awake now Deborah, Good morning

Dot, I hope that you have sorted out that person now. Wonder if she will still be there in a week or so. I have only ever met one medical receptionist that was thoroughly unpleasant. There is no need for anyone to be like that. Hope it's sorted now so Gman can get his MRI done.
You are right about the humidity Deborah, it 94% here at the mo' and it is only going to get worse as the day warms up. I bet you are glad that you finally got to sell some stuff.
Cheers

We actually played bowls in the humidity y'day, we were very lucky to play, light rain spitting every now & then, I was pleased to only be marking although I did have a roll up after lunch, tried a set of Aero size2 bowls I am having difficulty holding my Greenmaster premier bowls, arthritis in my hand 😢😢only $659 for a new set.🤔🤔
There would definitely of been no bowls today the rain hasn't let up & it is still raining tonight, more predicted over the weekend.
Good night everyone, sweet dreams.

OMG I think I am dead..Up and out of bed at 0830hrs and with teeth in as well . Dr rang right on time, all sorted, also jab booster in Jan, Shingles and pneumonia can be done together and done by the nurse so that has been booked :D Rosy dog went home then we took the bus for a run to Nairne , spent a whole $1 at the op shop  On the way home I pulled up to a paddock with wheat ready to be stripped and G was borrowing a few hand fulls for Pete the little Corella. Boysenberries ripening nicely and a few Cherries are visible, even though I can't taste them I will still get them down . Happy now, I saw the other baby blackbird hiding under a lavender bush and it;s mum bringing it food :) Shirley go out and buy those new balls and enjoy them, a dear friend of mine told me tonight that her son died from an diagnosed heart condition but won't know for sure until autopsy in a month or so. :D Never know do we when we fall off the perch... Time to say Goodnight everyone x Goodnight Terry x :D

Gee Dot, you are becoming a bit of an activist. I don't blame you though. Medical receptionists seem to think they are as high and mighty as the flaming quacks. Like you, I take none of their nonsense and will only too happily, report any problems straight to the doc in charge. Lately, the places I am dealing with, have such friendly receptionists that it does help to put you in the right frame of mind to visit the quack. Hope you get Gmans work all sorted asap xxxx

Like Shirley says, the real rain started yesterday afternoon. Up to 4pm today we have had 1 1/2 inches and there has been a lot more fall since then. It's too wet to go out to check the gauge now. Platter went in to get fused and ready for step 2, maybe tomorrow.
As it has just been so unpleasant, howling winds etc, we stayed indoors for most of the day and not much to show for it.

Shirley, do buy the best bowls that you can use. Who knows what tomorrow will bring? You deserve to have things that make your life happier/easier.

night all xxx

Good morning Dot & Deborah, exactly the comment from Bruce just buy them if you want them you enjoy playing.

Dot we had the pneumonia vaccine injection last Wednesday & I was told that I had to wait at least 2 weeks before getting the shingles vaccine?

No improvement in the weather rained during the night & still bleak, overcast, raining & can't see up the lake.

I have this (1) in my gene's .... An infection caused by the virus HSV. There are two types of Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV): HSV-1 -usually causes blisters around the mouth and lips. (face lips) My dad also suffered from these dam things. In the same group as shingles.. Used to get them really bad when younger mainly when run down but luckily not much in the past few years. I had the chickenpox jab. Shirley I will be re checking with the GP re getting the 2 jabs at the same time. as I reckon they won't get George back if separate days  Twas another lovely warm day but the poor buggers up north with all the rain and flooding, so if you are up there stay away from flooding. Have you bought your new bowling balls yet Shirley? have a snoop around for the black friday sales etc.. Good on you Deborah your platters were a hit, more to be done for Xmas, so chop chop. Time to say Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Tanks & Mr Major xx :D

Dot, I still don't know what to do about the shingles vax. I get the dreaded cold sores, have had chicken pox at least 6 times (that's right, no immunity) and had one dose of shingles, I worry that the vax will just cause another dose of shingles. If this virus crap ever dies down and our gp is not so busy, I will settle down and have that chat. It really is a sobering thought. Take care mate xxxx

Hope you feel better soon Shirley. The sun shining might help you both to feel better. Maybe it will shine soon ;) then again, maybe it won't :)

I bought some seed from a local lady who was trying to start up a home business from her farm. Planted them a few weeks ago and I am impressed with how many successes we have had. So today, we planted out "small" sunflowers, marigolds and zinnias. Finally we had a good break in the rain and they all look great now. Because we don't really know how high the "small" sunflowers will grow, we put 2-3 plants in each hole, in the hope that this strategy will make sure they are dwarfed.

Today's platter is another one made from the scraps on my bench. I can't afford to waste any of this expensive glass.
