Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Agree on the pricing in op shops Dot. Some were just plain greedy and we resisted giving our hard earned to them too. xxxx

We had a slow trip home from Bathurst, one word Roadworks. gggrrr. All good now. The van is mostly unpacked and the truck will be unloaded eventually. It's only all of the business stuff, so it will have to unloaded before we disappear for family Christmas next week.

Tomorrow, we are to visit our super advisor. Before the appointment, I was sent many pages of forms to be filled in, to take with me to the appointment. The first questions were name and age, fair dinkum. I will be sitting there in front of the man, if he doesn't know who he is talking to or how old I am, it's time for a new advisor. Another ridiculous question was about our income, how much do we get from super? Truly, they pay us, you would think he would have that data available in the files. As much of the forms were just too ridiculous, he won't be happy to see so many blank spaces and basically I won't be impressed if he needs to ask too many of the same crappy things.

Sorry for the negativity, just too tired to think tonight.
Night all xxx

That "advisor" needs to be advised to retire, we have never been asked any such questions = suss. Brian went to see his favorite vet today for his yearly vaccs, worming tab, teeth, weight in 4,5kg and his ears checked,Because of his early weeks of life he had cat flu and his ears have an ongoing need for treatment. The vet always takes a swab from Brians' ears to check for mites etc, as he was taking the swab I asked how much will that be? as the last couple of times I have been charged $30 odd dollars. He replied he
won't charge for doing it,, He was the main owner but has now semi retired and I only get him for Brian The total cost for today was $10.30 that was for the worming tab after 20% off the original price. Pretty good hey? Also there was lots of banging cutting in rhe shed next door all day so at 7pm I went for a look see, apparently the ground was "soft" and it sunk down a bit and the guy was having to make it grow/lift, lots of drilling into the concrete footings adding steel and bolting more steel ???? bit of a mickey mouse jobbie ?? G is seeing the orthopod tomorrow re his knee / hip woes and after will drop into Robert not Bob and Molly for a cuppa and a chat. Time for bed so goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight HTFFBO x :D who is now in a little town of Moore Qld

Knackered from a day out in the city, G saw the bone man and as thought he has a torn meniscus (R) knee, he gave G the choice of see if you can put up with it as is or have an arthroscopy, up to you, see me in 3 months or before if you need to. Appointment time was 1020 am, went in to consult room 1025 had discussion re knee and out again 1035. Bulk billed then popped into Robert not Bobs place and had some freshly baked banana loaf and it was very nice. Headed off home but had to stop at a couple of op shops surprise surprise the one at Meadows was great, got a blouse, a cat igloo for Brian, 5 old lady coat hangers, 2 pottery bowls for plants, a bag of 4 bread rolls and 2 cream donuts thrown in all for $4.50. Can't go wrong with that. 25 new covid cases now in SA, thank you Vic & NSW, Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Rossp x :D Stay safe on the roads.

Dot, the super advisor hadn't seen the form. It was sent out from head office of state super. They do a good job maintaining my little bit of money, but I have to do all the research before we go so that I can give him all the answers to help him to invest my money wisely. He was amused when I told him he must need glasses if he needs me to write my name and age on his forms. Lucky op shop find mate. xxxx

Did a quick grocery shop to collect all the ingredients for the Christmas biscuit baking tomorrow. Have it all ready to just add the sticky condensed milk to each batch and get it into the oven. So it's not a quiet time here at the moment and not a kiln firing time before Christmas either.

Still to buggered from the city visit Dot? It can wear me out, just reading all the places that you visited. xxxx

As promised, the lair was full of yummo aromas for most of the day
This is the first bowl of mix. There were only 8 bowls full this year.

This is a before and after of the cooking process.

Next is the three mounds of finished biscuits.

After all the clean up, many biscuits were put onto plastic plates, wrapped in cellophane all ready for delivery.
I am stuffed now.

Busy Dot? xxxx

Ray, I give plates of biscuits to anyone who visits the lair when we are here or the caravan when it's our other residence. So yes you are welcome to some, just find me

Today was a chiro visit, she looked lovingly at her plate of bickies. I delivered them around town today and only have one neighbour left to catch up with, he aint going nowhere fast, so he will get spoilt soon.

I maybe cheap, but I refuse to send ready made Christmas cards. Someone else is getting money for something that I can do. So I spent the afternoon creating the family Christmas card, included the grandkids pictures and lots of interesting snippets. The envelopes were addressed and all are ready to post tomorrow.

Now we are starting to prepare for Christmas, it almost feels like Christmas here.

sweet dreams out there xxx

That is not funny Deborah  Too tired last night, Today was a nasty hot sticky day. Doggie sat and Brian was not interested at all. Rang my GP's rooms to make a time for the booster jab clinic, = full until late Jan give this number a ring they do them there. Rang and left message to ring back Then I rang the local Drs and they don't do clinics, ring this number (same as the other number. Then the "other number returned my call" Well as usual I had not a shite show in hell understanding him so G took over, they are open 7 days for appointments and also walk ins, made time for Sunday 10am. All sorted, then Wednesday we both get the Shingles and pneumonia jabs .... Why are all /most of the restrictions being lifted when the numbers of infected people is growing thanks to the zombie pollies . Watched the show on ch 9 rush about the history of brothels, Oh dear how the catholic church prospered when they themselves set them up, I am trying to find the right word for that,,, ummmmm hypocritical. Oh well time to say goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Norman x :D Stay safe on them there roads.

Dot, I hope the humidity hasn't stuffed you too. Amazing the different hoops that you have to jump to get the booster shot that they are demanding. Good that George was able to arrange it for you both. Ours isn't due until February, so we will be careful instead. xxxx

Our premier is decreeing that masks are not essential wear any longer and yet the health officer and his medical advisor have both stated that we should continue to wear masks in crowded areas. Reckon if the idiot premier had one of his SEVEN children contract the disease, he would think otherwise. We will be continuing to wear masks whenever we enter shopping centres or even small shops. It doesn't hurt to be careful and we want to finally be healthy to have a proper Christmas on the right day.

The heat and humidity today was horrible, just like summer used to be. Good thing that our solar panels pay for the air con to be fired up. Happy to stay indoors today. I have managed to bag up all the various family presents into their santa sacks and have them ready for the big event. Our daughter rang today, to tell us that she will be taking her part of the family to Melbum for Christmas (to visit his side of the family). That was a huge relief. Both of our kids will pick an argument with each other just for the sport of it. Great for children who are in their forties. Now we know we will have a pleasant Christmas at two different events.

All that is left is to pack the van tomorrow and we will be off to adventure on Monday.
so night all xxx
