Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

How much crap do men hide in their sheds you ask, a heap of crap is what I saw today, so much of "it may come in handy one day" Who needs 3 spray weed sprayers? so many sponges ? heaps of rags and towels, plastic containers, bits of wood off cuts, get the picture??And I thought my tupperware collection was over the top but at least I do get rid of some but HWMBO sneaks his rubbish back when he thinks he has binned it, do they think women are stupid??? I check the bins before rubbish collection day   Heaps of watering done as the ground is so water resistant so will get some soil improver (seasol ) and heaps of manure, might try pig poo . When we were in NZ 1977 we built a new house and as usual no garden so out friends had a dairy farm so we got a lot of the end if the silage pit contents and spread it around. Well as it happened that might it rained, in the morning it warmed up and holy ,moly the steam began to rise and the neighbours were shutting their doors and windows, never used that stuff again but oh boy it did a good job. Have a good get away Deborah, Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Rossp x :D

Yes Dot. I have a pantry full of stuff I need to rehome.
What am I going to do with all this 'cooking' stuff? I reckon there's 5 half empty of everything.
Might hang on to some of the cake mixes. Who knows I might have fun licking a spoon or 3?
Might even try using a jelly or custard or 4?
Uncooked rice? Might be a wedding one day?

PS. I've found a use for the half empty Bundy Rum!!

"tanks" here---
The blind star tenor Andrea Bocelli has released a beautiful new duet Hallelujah with his eight year-old daughter, Virginia Bocelli.
On the empty stage of Teatro Regio di Parma.

Look up or google Un Duo Celeste. such a strong voice, in english and italian
Kerith.
I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

That hoya is something special Dot. Hope you enjoy it in your garden for a long time. I manage to murder hoyas, don't really know why, but they don't like me xxxx

Had a busy day, packing the van, all ready to add the fridge stuff and drive off tomorrow. I decided to do some shed things and spent several hours in there. I was just getting it ready for a fresh start next year. All shelves have had their non stick coatings added, followed by coating painted onto shelf supports to try to stop glass sliding and sticking to them too. Last job, was to thoroughly clean the bench. It now sparkles (sort of) and is looking inviting to start a new year with more fancy glass stuff.

I am stuffed, so nighty night xxx

Good morning Dot, we had a very strong blow early last evening & a little rain but it was all over in 30 mins., then rainbows & a magnificent sunset.
I have 3 colours of Hoya growing on the wire fence between our house & the neighbours, must just like its location.

Deb,
Seeing as you have the expert touch, you want to tackle my workshop next? :D
Two wood lathes (with accompanying sawdust), a bench vice standing in a bed of metal swarf, and a large collection of spiders will greet you. :?
Regards & God bless,
Ray

Dot, you must think I am going mad??? That hoya picture is really a crap myrtle, you didn't fool me twice. xxxx

Shirley that storm last night was a non event and yes the following sunset was beautiful.

Ray, you would never find anything again, if I was let loose in your shed. Arachnids are enough to keep me out, so lucky for you, that shed is all yours.

We drove up the road for a few hours to find that we needed lunch. We stopped at our usual stop, the pub at Nabiac where the food is good and the price is even gooder. After lunch, we finished driving up the road to Forster. Where we had issues with our debit cards both being declined. Office staff were great. Told us to go set up, sort the bank issue out and return tomorrow to pay.

How embarrassing. Turns out that our bank only allows $500 per day per card for tap transactions. I should have known/remembered this. Anyway, there is no problem and tomorrow the bill will be paid. Obviously, the bank is protecting us from thieves, but a reminder of this issue could have saved us some stress.

The van is hot and sweaty in a really humid spot, so some rain would almost be welcome. Air con has been on, but too noisy to sleep with it on. We will force ourselves to enjoy this holiday.

night all xxx

Stay cool Deborah. For the first time since the Pandemic started we in SA now have 105 new cases, thanks scomo  Time for bed e buys, have been watching Elvis (Girl Happy) such a hunk and a voice to match, had to laugh at the song " Wolf whistle" oh how the feminists and PC nincompoops would love to get that cut out of the movie, no way would the Elvis fans let that happen. Take care

Thanks Dot, you brought up some good memories of going to Parkes on stinking hot January to the Elvis festival. Would love to do that again some time. Political correctness has no place in the world of Elvis and his music. xxxx

We did a bit of shopping to fill up the fridges before the big day. That took up most of the day. I had to order some BBQ chookens from the local chooken shop. That was a weird experience. The shop had fridges fillled with drink but nothing else. Lady behind the counter had very poor English. I gather that she is having a new rotisserie delivered and installed tomorrow, and hopes to have chookens for Christms Eve. Knowing my luck..... any way, I gave her my name and number with a request for two bbq chookens on Friday. I left no money and have our fingers crossed both for our chookens and the poor lady's business.

Across the road from where we are currently sited, has been a few big farms. One of the farms has always had a service on Christmas Eve, with a beautiful choir singing carols. That won't be happening this year. All the farms have been bought out by a retirement home mob. We were woken at 7obloodyclock this morning. They have huge truckloads of rocks and gravel being delivered with massive equipment rolling and crushing and banging it all into submission. The noise and dust is not very pleasant. it went from 7am to 5pm non stop.

We had great neighbours in Sydney and have remained in contact for all this time. They have bought a home to be built in this complex. I wanted to ring them at 7am to give them a progress report on their site. It took a lot of self control not to ring them, but when we are talking soon, I will let them know how busy their site has been.

night all xxx
Deborah
