Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Well I did another attempt at cooking a fruit pie using my stewed apples from last year and adding the freshly picked boysenberries, This time I did what I had to do with the pastry that I didn't know you had to do
ie put baking paper on top of the base then the rice on top of the baking paper. Did that then tipped off the rice and loaded the filling in and then the pastry on the top. Must admit it looked great but once again the bottom still was not cooked properly but enough to smother with cream, wasn't too bad so G said. .I spoke to Norman this arvo, as you would expect they are coping best they can but a laugh or two was had. Heading to Gp tomorrow then off to check out some camping spots for a few days if we can but the numb nuts will be everywhere on and off the roads. Next door is finished and the owners have their keys but their huge shed floor may be being concreted tomorrow,
well maybe. G was picking up some of the trimmings of the shrubs and came across Miss Lizzy under some of them so the cuttings have stayed. G took a trailer full of other cuttings to the tip and the cheeky buggers charged $23 for them to chomp it up and sell on ??? greedy scabbing council will be hearing about this for sure. I would of chucked it at their gate. Time for bed now , my head is hurting over the yes and no , BS of the covid law makers numb nuts and apparently they who know all will let us know our new yes's and no's. Goodnight everyone x

Dot, I reckon that by the time you read this, national cabinet will have met and come up with the latest plan. Can't say that I agree with much of their work lately. Seems to be all populist dribble, maybe there is am election on the way.
Cheers

Dot, feel free to tell Jon that you only speak in French when asleep! Cheeky bugger. You have had another super busy day and good on yer for trying the pastry cheffy thing again. Worth cooking the pastry a tiny bit hotter next time? Just a thought. xxxx
This is not an average year here in Forster. Usually we are the only van here for a few days and then the park slowly fills up, with the busiest day for arrivals being Boxing Day. The park is already half full. I am suspecting these are people who don't trust the gumbymint and expect their home areas to be locked in soon. The usually quiet shopping centres are already as busy as a usual Christmas Eve. We will only go to smaller shops now. The idea to avoid crowds is one of our self preservation ideas.
Op shopping today, was a bit sad. The shops have signs asking for no more donations due to lack of space, but as a shopper, the places seemed to have a lot of extra junk. I did have a good find though. I found a sunbeam slow cooker that browns before it does the slow cook, for $30. When my very old one of these, had the non stick coating lifting, to replace just the bowl was going to be a hundred dollars. Now I have a barely used spare, that has been tagged and tested. So a good bargain was had.
The heavy machinery has stopped across the road, but all day, the road was constant with trucks bringing fill. Hopefully, they will have a Christmas break soon and peace will reign supreme.

Deborah You can't trust that Jd he is a great art entrepreneur esp Japanese artwork (bugger he is) so he most likely speaks French. When I talk in my sleep I talk in tongues
GP was really nice (She was a test run) seeing my best ever one left) more bloods done, a ref to podiatrist , and some advice on a couple of other issues , and see in 1 mth for reviews and other jabs pneumonia and shingles.. Total cost $0 Popped into Dan Murphy and next car had 2 little kids in the back seat and windows down just a couple of inches so I went and got the bouncer man to come and see, the idiot female came with arm full of booze and asked what the problem was? George did his usual whisper of "Dorothy NO" and said "come on lets go.". I really could of thumped her but she was bigger and bigger than me and her tatts also suggested we go home
so we did. Time to hit the sack so stay safe everyone, I have not bothered with watching the numb nuts telling us more confusing crap re Covid and it's off spring, so I am going to keep it like that.Goodnight everyone x
Goodnight Chuck x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dot, I can't imagine you behaving just because Gman asked you to, ever.
Obviously, the decision to remain quiet n the booze shop, was a cautious one. xxxx
We had another day with a weather forecast of 90% rain. Well it did rain for about half an hour, late this afternoon, but hardely 90% worth of stress. We managed to get a load of washing fully dried on the clothesline way before the drippy rain started.
Spent the afternoon visiting an old mate. He has damaged himself most years that we can remember. This year he broke a leg and is just recovering from a shoulder reconstruction. That was a long afternoon for us, but at least we did manage to break his boredom for a while.
Our premier has finally decided that mask wearing should return...der...only takes a record number of ill people to make him see sense. Before he made this announcement, most of the people in shopping centres today were wearing masks.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
I beat you here tonight Dot.
xxxx
Today the sun was so fierce that I have a glow on my skin. Must be sunburn, really it has been a summer day today.
Our son and his family have arrived and now it does feel like Christmas. It has been so great chat in person with his whole family and to finally have a hug in person.
It's already Christmas day, so Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night xxx

Merry Christmas from Us here in Mandurah -WA
It's gunna be 42 here today, so we're not going too far away from the A/C.
Family will be over later and we'll celebrate together, as well as trying out a few of my drink mixers, some of which went into the Christmas-type fruit cake.
