Checked up on Pete, she is being a good girl (so far) She has been moved into another cage and is yabbering on with a gang gang ? .Happy with that, but we will do a surprise visit one day. It is very strange to go out the back and not have that little voice saying "Gooday mate" OMG TV is utter utter crap. Watching Codes and conspiracies ( 9 rush) interesting. Chiro work is almost fixed, but made an appointment for next Friday to get it fully straight before our next escape.
I logged on here, last night, only to have a huge thunder clap hit close by...you know the rest. Computer locked down and went to bed early.

I managed to get some dry time in the shed today. One of my bowls managed to get smashed on the trip to Belmont. Today was the time to face up to it's resurrection. It's getting a very long, slow warm up to get the glass molten and then it should fill back into a nice square shape and hopefully, it should be in one full piece. Knowing the way my stuff has been firing lately, it will probably have a big hole in the middle. Oh well, tomorrow will tell whats what.

I will be reassessing the packing process and putting in a lot more insulation before we next travel with glass objects.

The rain has returned with a vengeance tonight. I can hear the tank is overflowing, so it won't go astray, but gee some sunshine would be good to dry the place up a bit.

Boring day to say the least. re potted heaps of plants, did a bit of painting, did a load of washing and had a shower.Ringing my Kiwi M8 tomorrow night so that will take a few hrs out of the day Q/ the covid cases are going up and up everywhere but the masks are not needed, you can go here and there, dance, eat out, virtually do what you want and where you want to do it? Dot, simples. They want us all to get it now, somehow they think we are all safe from major complications and nobody will need hospitals. Yeah, well that seems to be the way they are thinking. Still wearing masks in shopping centre now for us, even when they say not needed. Have a good chat to your kiwi. xxxx

Still, another damp, day in paradise. Kiln did a good job , the plate is all back together and looking promising. The real test will come tonight, as it gets bent into a bowl shape. Oh well fingers are crossed (makes typing a bit tricky tho ).

I had a look at one of the kiln shelves and already the paint on it is starting to blister. Not a great sign. Scraped off all the old paint and started on the first coat of wash. It just would not dry, and every coat must be dry before the next one is applied. I grabbed an old hairdryer and literally started to watch paint dry. Really riveting. Luckily, the wash changes colour as it dries. Never a dull moment at my lair.

Dot, I think Deborah is correct. They want us all to be exposed to it, now that we are vaccinated. Only the old or immuno-compromised will have a problem. Anyone else will just be collateral damage. Big business has to keep going to be able to donate to political parties. Some other distraction will pop up soon, and take it off the front page. Oh, it already has. Another war. Excuse my cynical rant. Keep your mask on Dot, and just hope that you get a mild version.

Well if that is their plan they won't get me, My darling Clayton's daughter in NZ has got Covid, not surprised due to the scum she has to associate with, but she is a little toughie and will kick it, Her husb also a copper is more at risk as he has a heart condition but being a big moari boy he will be fine as well. I jinxed myself last night. That plate managed to find a different way to make a big split. I looked at it carefully and decided that it is just one mess too many. I put it on the thinking about it stack and put another couple of wine bottles in to flatten.

Remember that mango tree tree that was covered in fruit? The fruit have been really slow to get soft enough to pick. Today I found that someone or something has beaten me to the entire crop. Only three tiny fruit left and no evidence of animal stealing the fruit. I can't find any chewed up fruit or seeds and there are certainly no fruits on the ground under the tree. The new leaves were covering all the fruit last week, so a quick glance and all looked well. gggrrr The only thought is a feral critter as the fruit were still mostly hard, but WTF?

Deborah I think the 2 legged feral s have stripped your tree. Had a long chat to my NZ M8 this arvo, she had just had her stitches out where they dug out a melanoma and now awaits the results. G had a filling today but it didn't stop him eating .I raked up heaps of gum leaves grrr (compliments of next door) One of the crepe myrtles has started to flower.Was told today that another person we know has been diagnosed with the big C, never ends does it? Q/ Why do the people running for election promise to spend MILLIONS of $$$ on sports stadiums and pretty water features instead of spending it on finding cures for these bastard diseases? No 2 legged ferals in our backyard Dot. The tree is right under our bedroom and we sleep with the sliding door to the outside, fully open, security screen locked. I would have heard them and the security lights would have been stirred up. We thought about hearing flying foxes a few nights ago, so now they are the suspects. I will be netting the tree next time that it has fruit on. A cure for cancer would be a far better way for pollies to entice votes Dot. You would get my vote asap. xxxx

It was a little damp again today. Not yet flooding, but will be watching the lake levels closely.

My sister arrived to stay for a couple of days. While the phone talks are ok, it's much better to have her here, for the first visit in two years (flamin covid). The kiln flattened the wine bottles well, so tonight they are getting bent to give them those weird handles.

With so much of Qld / NSW under water and so many people with nothing is there any need for furniture etc from down this way? Anyone know of anything?
