Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Dot, what are you waiting for? Just get away from the stressful neighbours and enjoy life mate xxxx

Shirley, does the Gwandalan Bowlo still serve great Chinese Food? Since covid hit, we haven't been out for meals, but that used to be one of my faves.

Today we had reasonable sales and considering that trade finished at 1pm, we did really well. After all the tallies were done, we didn't make our first million, but at least we are in profit, by a small margin. The van is hitched to the patrol already and there will be a fairly speedy escape in the morning. Looks like another nice day to be travelling, so we are happy.

sweet dreams you lot xxx

Early start tomorrow: 0800 at Men's Shed.
Helping transport 200 pallets from Wodonga to our Shed.
Girt's car trailer will be called into service. Can't carry too many at a time, poor little Supercar is not that super… 1.1litre turbo 3 cyl.
Goes like stink with just us in it. A bit more leisurely dragging a trailer, especially the car trailer.
After Shed duties, gotta hitch up our other trailer (a massive 4' x 4' :o ) and collect a load of dirt for the new garden bed. :D
Work, work, work! Who knew retirement was so busy? :?

So g'nite all. Off to Snoozeland now. :P
Regards & God bless,
Ray

Deborah, unfortunately the Chinese restaurant was turfed out pre Covid, it was very popular, the new mob that took over where never great but steadily the quality of the meals deteriorated so they are gone now too, the new CEO has the club running it, guess time will tell if it's a successful decision. We are still a stand alone club most of the other Bowling clubs on the coast have been taken over by larger Sydney Football clubs.

Sophie the lady that ran the Chinese restaurant now owns the Chineses restaurant at Lake Munmorah Woolies shopping centre.

Know where you are coming from Dot. This getting older takes a lot of organising with doctors, dentists, chemists and candlestick makers! Hope you're all coming along right on schedule. xxxx

We left Mudgee at 9 (that's my best sleeping time), had a couple of stretch breaks and a quick lunch break and landed at home around 3. The van is empty and back down in it's corner of the yard. Just as we finished doing that, the phone sent us a message to warn of high winds and strong rains. The winds started around 6 and now the heavy rains are falling. While we were away, we had 4 1/2 inches. Honestly, I don't think our yard will take much more water. It's even soggy right up to my shed door. That doesn't happen very often.

Shirley, I think I will order from Lake Munmorah Chinese now. Thanks for the heads up. We don't eat out much at all since covid struck, so even a take away would be a good change from my cooking.

sweet dreams xxx

Went to sleep in the chair again. Did more cleaning and re stocked the bus so not too much more to do but tomorrow it is back to the city for G's post op check up and a physio appointment and then a call into the Covid hub for our 2nd Booster. This morning the concrete rs turned up and yes they parked in our driveway ignoring the NO parking in the driveway sign. I was so peed off I went up to the guy who was tipping concrete out of the wheelbarrow and said "Can't you lot read"? Now move that "nice" truck out of my driveway NOW" he looked at me and replied " yep in a minute" and I replied "NO NOW" he went a bit red and tipped the concrete out of the wheelbarrow and went and moved the truck. As he was walking towards the truck the concrete truck driver asked him "WTF was he doing? "  I told him "he was going to learn how to read" Bloody rude ignorant pigs. Suppose the next delivery will be their water tank. Sick of it, our place has not been secure for nearly a year now. Earlier this evening I had a lovely visit from a person I have never met but have had some contact with him through a friend, we may be catching up this week. Time to head to bed so goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Bernie x :D

Dottie,
Why don’t you try parking your bus in front of their truck. Then when they ask you to move it, tell them, “OK, in a minute.” Then go inside and have a cuppa.
😁😜
