Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

You still lost in the gravel pits Dot? xxxx

Oh Ray, your generosity is astounding. Our neighbourhood keeps me in more bottles than I have time to fire. The amazing bit here is that I rarely drink wine and certainly not beer, so no empty bottles are from our household. We came home from Mudgee, to find a couple of large bags of empties on the doorstep. I hate to think what people walking past must think. But then again, do I really care what they think?

The bottles are getting their necks bent tonight in a slumping firing and I did a bit more fiddling. The clouds were so low and dense all day, that the light was just oppressive, so sorry no pics yet. The clouds finally gave us a drenching late afternoon. Much more of this and I will be starting on building an ark.

Ray, now who is the comedian?

My ark would have to be built from 1 foot square pieces of fancy glass, so probably wood would be cheaper and faster. At the moment our only water craft are a couple of kayaks, so not very tempting in this rain.

Today was steroid injection day. Painful while it was happening, but not a lot of difference as yet. I am told this may take a while to show signs of improvement or not.
Next was the hot water man came. He took one look at the element and declared that it is burnt out and fritzed. He replaced it and presented us with a bill for $165, happy with that. With it being a solar hot water thingy, it is hard to know who to ask for help. Last time that it wasn't working the solar man came and had to replace a bit on the roof. The solar man came on Tuesday and replaced a blown fuse, but nothing else. I reckon his bill will be more then $165, (he seems to add waterfront tax to our bills).

Deborah, I'm not sure if Dot has internet from where they are parked in the paddock. It's a bit hit and miss here. But I'm sure that she said goodnight everyone. :D
Good luck with the ark building.
I hope the steroids work for you.
Cheers

Deborah, agree with the waterfront tax, we never say we live on waterfront if getting a quote/price for anything.

David, I hope you all have a very enjoyable time, lots of laughs & the weather improves for your stay at Taggerty.

David, I think you may be right about Dot and her lack of connectivity.

Shirley, my response to tradies who come and immediately mention the waterfront is to let them know that we have to pay our mortgage just the same as them. None of their business how much is left to pay

Had a bad day, with the steroid giving me false hope. I woke with little pain , so declared it was a grocery shopping day. That was not a good plan. i barely walked from the car into the shops and felt my legs totally stiffening up. Luckily, His Nibs was on the run and helped to get most things for me and I could stay fairly still at times. By the time we arrived home, I was not coping real well. He put all the groceries away, so who knows where most of it went? Will turn up one day. After a restful afternoon, the cramps have settled down, but not feeling really friendly at the moment. The shed may have to stay out of bounds for a bit longer methinks.

Happy weekend

The peace and tranquility must be getting to Dot. Can't be easy being quiet for so long ;) ;) ;) xxxx

Today was a bit better than yesterday, so at least I am almost smiling. Only one leg is giving me hell tonight, so something is working.
I still can't manage the stairs down to my shed, so no shed time for a bit longer. The windy/cold/wet day didn't make one feel like running through the tulips either.

After a slow day, I am ready for a warmed bed, so night all xxx

Deborah, you are spot on there. The bus is parked at the bottom of the paddock of bad reception. I'm sure that she will be back with a vengeance as soon as a suitable gravel pit can be found. We have all been having a lot of fun telling tall stories and bad jokes around the campfire at Taggerty.
I think there will be a few sore heads in the morning.
Cheers

Dot and David, you are both welcome to those sore heads, but am so pleased that you are all enjoying the escape from reality. xxxx

We had some sort of bright light in the sky today, it was like a foreign object, oh yes, it was the sun.

I felt up to some shed time, but definitely over did the time. A couple of hours was just too long and now I am paying for it.

It's getting really chilly here at night, so off to a warmed bed for me,
Night all xxx
