Dot, did you only return home because of medical stuff? Annoying isn't it? The body could let us have some quiet R & R sometimes. xxxx
Did a quick vegy shop and then down to my shed. The crater bowl that came out of the kiln is weird n wacky and just how I like it.
Tonight the kiln is warming up the scrap pile. Well some of the scrap pile. Could be good, could be...

Wow that is really nice, bet that sells fast. Yes came home for the old ailments, had eye check today, no change since last year so keeping old glasses. Had the hearing test, she reckons R) ear is not as good as last year BUT I disagree as there was noise from the waiting room and I could hear her telling me to take off the ear muffs ???? I cancelled the orthopod man as I was not feeling up to a peak hr trip home, will make another when feeling better. I had a great laugh today i the waiting room, made friends with a guy with tourette's, as he came into the room I thought he was falling down so I went to grab him, ha ha he said I'm Ok I have tourette's and tend to F------- you .......... fall now and again
We sat laughing for 15 minutes in between some funny out bursts and peoples reactions, and bugger me he is moving to Strath.... Should bring him along to a forum gathering

When I see the bowl above, I think of a Maidenhair/hanging fern type of bowl.
With some little chain and things, it could be a motza.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
You are having some adventures Dot, and your new friend sounds like a real hoot. xxxx
Glad you like the bowl Jon and Dot. I can see it doing the hanging fern thing too Jon. Will suggest it to the potential buyers. I wont put the plant in it because I am the kiss of death to ferns.
Had to leave home in my dreamtime for an appointment in Gosford. Left at 8 for appointment at 9:20 and only just made it...traffic works. By the time we left the docs, it would be my usual waking time, so not really impressed with the timing. The doc gave us all the important information and then confirmed that we are still alive.
From there we went to a Sarah Lea outlet, where the sarah's products are very cheap and they have quite a varied selection of many other brands at good prices. The freezer is now stocked with a few naughty treats and some fancy quiches. That's good for now.
Next stop was the voting place. Very surprised to be asked if we qualify to do a pre-poll vote. My reply was "we wouldn't be here if didn't qualify" . We had a local accost us at the town's voting once and demanded that we sign her petition that was a very dishonest petition. She was so rude and accompanied by her heavies, that I refused to return to vote in the towns hall again. Her heavies are the ones responsible for the sausage sizzle on the day and it can't be avoided either. Don't like pushy people. Now, if anything happens to slow us down on election day, the stress has been taken from us.
The rest of the day was a write off.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Getting in before you tonight Dot. Too tired to stay up late. Waiting to hear more of your new friend xxxx
Had to visit my regular gp today to hear about the latest hip xrays. Apparently he isn't happy with the lack of response to the steroids and sees other things may need some help. So off to a specialist, when I can get the appointment. Not much happening, due to pain and needing even more sleep than I am getting.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
We sent our postal vote in last Monday. Going to take the bus to Murray Bridge tomorrow for the man to take pic of our damaged awning and let the insurance people see it. The damage was from the nasty wind and rain one night at Taggerty, we have never left the awning out but we didn't hear anything that night. I got a lovely email today, my beautiful Maori boy (he was our babysitter) and he is going to be working for 4 mths at the ??.caraapateena. mine up nth of Port agutta, 2 weeks on 2 weeks off. Luckily he has good skills in self defense as he was in the Peace keeping forces,
Deborah , pop a fake fern in the bowl to display. maybe a nice macrame hanger. See the Jayco boss's bike team have been doing ok in the Italian bike tour. . Doggie sitting this weekend , Brian said "oh no"
Time to tidy up a bit before bed so take care everyone and goodnight x
Goodnight NC George x

Deb,
I agree that a pot of fake fern, and maybe a macramé or chain hanger would probably see your fantastic bowl gallop off your table at a market!
(You could charge extra to include the hanger.

A beautiful sunny and warm day and another very chilly night ahead. Took the bus for a run up the freeway to Murray Bridge this morning so the man could take pics of our damaged awning. Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dot, will be listening to what the specialist suggests. I don't think the steroids have had enough time time finish their job. Enjoy having your Rosy and Helen visit xxxx
Specialist will see me in a few weeks, so not too much of a wait. Can't believe how hard it is to see any doctors here on the coast.
It's raining again. I did venture down to my shed between showers. Put the second crater bowl in to be shaped, so tomorrow I may have something to see. I spent a long time doing cold work (sanding and grinding all the rough edges) on a weird piece of leftovers fused together. It's starting to look promising, but again it needs more work. I stayed out in the cold for as long as I could. But once the pain hit, back upstairs in the warm . The only extra thing I did was to cook up a roast leg of lamb, so his nibs is happy.
Time for that warm bed,
