Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Did some tree/shrub trimming and then got rid of the off cuts via fire. HTFFBO will be squatting in the yard from tomorrow. Looks like we have a change of leaders ho hum. Had to laugh, watching the boys on bikes the commentator said it was a very hot day (30 degs)  M8 in NZ has unconditional contract on her 5 acre block , $2.650.000.000. Hoping her bro doesn't get to hear of this as he will try an urgent intervention to stop the sale so he can put another caveat on it again. The law is on the crims side , he has lied on every affidavit = perjury, has presented NO receipts for claims he has made etc etc yet he and his crooked lawyer get away with such crap. Fingers crossed everyone. Anyway 35ks for the boys so I am saying goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Chuck x :D Hows the leg?

Dot, see how much mischief you and Helen can find. Fingers are crossed for your kiwi mate's sale to go through with no dramas. xxxx

Yet another rainy, cold and miserable day. I paddled down to my shed and found the crater bowl was a mess. It seemed to have stretched over the form and left huge holes right where it should have been the base of the bowl. It was unstable. It's back in tonight, being dropped back to flat and having a few more lumps of glass fused into where it made such big random holes. Another thing to learn about.

Tomorrow we will drive to outer Mongolia...more like Penrith..to help out grandson celebrate his 18th birthday. For us, it's a 2 1/2 hour drive each way but the getting together with all of the family will make up for the drive. Even better still, I am not providing any food. Pizza hut will send their best pizzas and we will relax with them all together for the first time in over two years. Covid has really stuffed up our family lives.

Morning Dot, fortunately it's still attached to the ankle that was giving me trouble - hence the surgery to rectify a bodgy tendon, apparently. The ankle is 90% better but still troubles me now & again in the same area but now at the end of each day that area of the surgery - or rather just above it - is always swollen which tends to rub on the area of shoe directly below it. It's not at the stage of going back to the surgeon but will see my GP & maybe get a referral to a Physiotherapist.

10am and the peace is broken. HTFFBO has arrived, I was in the shower but when I came out there she was in all her glory making a cuppa. :D Hugs all around and the jaws began and didn't stop until dark and she went her way and I went mine. Scones were ordered for afternoon tea and they went down well. My poor throat is rather raspy now but will be better by morning ready to be abused again. Boys on bikes are in the big hills again but rest day tomorrow. Had the fire going again today, very chilly at night, expecting rain in the next couple of days. Time to sit and watch the boys so goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Noggins x :D

Another nice day, Rosy went home today and Brian was pleased  Watch out Terry tomorrow is HTFFBO invasion day  .Iam off to get my new orthotics tomorrow, hoping for relief for my poor feet. Planted some geraniums along the back fence today and G had to fix a worn out valve in the under ground sprinkler system. I found out it as the ground was soggy when I stood on it. Always something to be fixed. Shower time so goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Native Pepper x :D

Dot, I hope that you enjoy your new orthotics. I have had some for my work boots for years now. They might take a bit of getting used to though. Good luck.
G'night everyone.

Glad your visit from Helen has been a chatfest, Dot. Make the most of it xxxx

Last night, the rain was so hard that the interweb refused to work. I had an "early" night and ended up having a full 12 hours sleep. The trip to Sydney and back was quite tiring, but it was lovely to catch up with the family in person. Last time we were all together would have been pre-covid, so it was very special.

It rained again today, but the hard stuff seems to be falling at night. I did a shed run to set up the kiln. The crater bowl is getting bent up over a shape tonight. I took a long time to get a circular scrap piece to have much nicer edges and tomorrow it will have a fire polish. This is time in the kiln to make the edges as shiny as the rest of the plate. It's not hot enough for the glass to become runny, but hot enough for it to softly melt at the edges. That's the theory at least.

Picked up my new orthotics today, did a bit of shopping and delivered an old photo to the address on the back of the pic, we found the pic among G's aunt's stuff so no good to us and thought the new people that lived there may of liked it and they did :) Good deed for the day. HTFFBO arrived home on dark after their day at Mannum. Tomorrow Helen and I are doing the op shop rounds (girls day out) Deborah are you able to make a tall skinny crater vase / bowl ? Hope your leg / hip is a tad better. Was in Kmart this arvo and there was an older than us couple looking at ladies slippers, she put a pair in her basket when her husb said "For F's sake hurry up useless bitch" Woop woop I was off, "Hey stop that abusive filthy language please" The lady looked washed out so he repeated his orders "Put the F'n things back" Woop woop again "Hey watch your foul language" and so they headed off.. Piece of excrement , I won't stand by and watch listen to that abuse' Ask a guy named sp--k. Looking like rain but thought that before. Best get to bed as we are looking for an early start in the morning so Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Toolman x :D

Dot, do not buy me any extra work please. Not getting enough sales from all the pile of upcycled stuff that I am lugging around. To make a tall crater vase, I would have to start with a humungous flat shape, much bigger than my 12inch square kiln will fire. Interesting thought tho. xxxx

Ray, still a cheeky chimp. ;)

Will see if the theory is right, tonight the messy plate is getting it's fire polishing for the edges. I will be happy if it doesn't manage to become liquid and roll all over the shelf. The crater bowl managed to slide to one side of the mold and it looks sad. It will start the process again tomorrow.

I am so over the rain. It's still raining here and then some. We are water logged.

nighty night xxx
