This is where we are at the moment about 65ks from Winton. The wind was too nasty plus head on so we decided to stay another night. Heading off tomorrow. Love the country out here.

The road from Boulia to Winton is magical country, we really enjoyed the trip, did it both ways & so different, owing to the road to Birdsville being closed due to flooding, travelling thru the channel section was good. Return trip to Winton the camel competitors from Newcastle camped at the Middleton pub with us & exercised the camels up & down out the front of the pub, that was entertaining. Travel safely & enjoy.

Well we finally arrived in Dysart and now bunkered down. AND Tanks handed us "The well travelled phone" Tanks is looking very fit and healthy and his new mate Mr Major is a lovely lad but a bit over weight   All of a sudden George felt dizzy and then puked so he is in bed with bucket by his side  The countryside is very green (mostly crops) which I am having trouble thinking about "drought" Watching the boys on bikes and will flip between them and the tennis, want Roger to win but Joka might just do it again. Time to hop into bed and watch tv for a while.

I hope George didn't eat a Weiss Bar..... nah, probably a psychological reaction to seeing the phone and the overwhelming relief and release of endorphins. ... Clockwork Orange comes to mind.

Sorry, Dottie,
The Joker did it again.
I was barracking for Roger too.
SWMBO was in bed early & woke up about 0145 to complain that I was up too late.
When I told her why — and the score (1set all & 4-4 in the third) she rolled over and when back to sleep... probably expected Roger to clean up.
At 0330 she woke again, asked "Haven't they finished yet?"
Told her it was 2-2 & 6-all... she came out to watch the battle drag on to 12-12... then The Joker got lucky in the tie-breaker.
Both to bed at 0415.
A bit slow out of the blocks this morning... strange, that. ;) :P
Regards & God bless,
Ray

Well here comes a bloody rant or ten. Phone huh! what ph? yes the one came to Dysart BUT it kept wanting the password ?? what password?? once again the fool o/s told us to take it to a TELSTRA shop, did that they said P off not ours. Now we got a Telstra pre paid ph but there are no instructions on what is what and every time you turn it on you have to also put a pin in (got that) but by the time you get that done the call has ended. plus it only gives the one ring ?? Telstra lady tried to take the pin thing off but it is still there. My old ph ran out of $$$$ after all te calls to ph people and so I sent them an email over a week ago to see when it was back in credit but no reply. Anyway that is the ph situation. Had a very nice visit at the Bunker with Tanks and Major but it was time for us to plod along and so now we are at Rolleston Qld while there is internet. The roads are totally 4th world, Qld should be ashamed to even call them roads let alone highways. Lots of water being splashed around Qld everything from grapes, cotton, crops etc etc maybe they could plant hay for the next drought????? in stead of animals dying from starvation, (Just a sarcastic thought) Time I had my lunch (drink) cop yus all later if able. x

Just how many chinamen did you run over Dot ?
Next door got a incorrect bill from Telstra argued to the point they wiped the bill and gave them a tablet thingy for their troubles .
Might be how you approach the problem ?
Are you and Mister "G" dropping in on your way down ? And Brian...sorry...
Bernie .
