Aldi Porch

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Aldi Porch

Post by TigerMK1 »

Here is the Aldi caravan porch on sale last Saturday. We set it up tempory as I have to fit a sail track if we decide to go with them. Rather easy to put up. Will need a ladder to slide it into the sail track. The fiberglass rods are all sprung so go together easy. It provided instant shade and a big drop in temperature from the very hot day we have at the moment.
Not sure about the clear PVC part, may see if we can opaque it somehow. Other concern is it takes up space at least the same as the roll out awning so you would need a big space either side of your rig. We would not use it unless we were camped a few days at the one spot. So with all the comments, we have decided to keep them (I bought 2). It was also easy to pack it up and put it back in the carry bag.

Might need to do a trip to Aldi me thinks, that looks like a great idea.

It does look like a great idea. How high is it to the sail track. I would need it about 2.9m high

The box says 2.4m however you attach the lower edge via adhustable straps. So I thnk you would have maybe a slightly larger gap at the bottom. My rig is about 2.5 to the sail track that I am fitting on the other side.

I grabbed the last couple from the local store, along wit the fold up clothes line and the fold up table  they were a bargain eh
I'm thinking one set up at the front over the windscreen area would make a good heat deflector and add a bit of privacy as well. Back to trying to cut this door down to fit
