Look at it this way, when you give the car back it will be in top condition again ...... not sure a smiley would be appropriate just now

Nothing to apologise about, Tony is riding along with us and it is a pleasure to have him!! :) Poor bugger hasn't got any windows but.... Well the good news is that we got the car back today and we can travel. But we are staying put with #2 son Stephen for a few more days as plans were made around not getting the car so quickly. I asked for a seniors discount, RAA discount, RAAFy discount, and a gentlemans discount on the $660 bill for the car but they couldn't be swayed from full tote odds. Ah well, think of the economy and the national debt!!! We shall just proceed as if nothing has happened. I am going about 80k south to Hillsborough Station where there is access to gold fossicking. Want to try out the new (to me) GPX5000 metal detector. Might find the big one and all my problems will be over. ha ha. After that we are heading south via Airlie, Gold Coast, Blue Mountains, and probably via eastern Victoria toward home in Adelaide. People to visit and sights to see and with home getting inexorably closer. bobk
