Cold as. hell has frozen over. Head wind ++++ and it is cold. Had the genny on for an hr last night then hit the electric blanket for some warmth. 3 deg inside this morning so genny on again. Waiting for the sun to hit the windscreen but the wind is not letting things warm up.... Re the tolls for the new bypass, I was talking to a truckie about it and he said at $25 each way he won't be using it. Nearly into Gilgandra so better keep going now that G's morning tea has been consumed. :D

Seems that the running over of the chinamen's baton has been passed from Bobk and also Ros. Set off today and I noticed a strange clunky noise under my seat, pulled up and G got underneath and saw that the shock absorber was broken so off we went into Gilgandra and found a guy to fix it. Part will turn up tomorrow around lunch time (we'll see ;) ) So we are in his back yard which is a goldmine of all different trucks in all states of disrepair, I would love to have a good snoop around but have to behave. Oh man it is another freezing night so genny is on and so is the electric blanket

Sleep tight D&G. If only some of those old trucks could tell some of the stories that they have seen.
Sweet dreams Dot. Good luck with the repairs. All will be well, it is still only Wednesday when you wake up.
Cheers

The nice man fixed our shocky this arvo and we are staying in his yard again tonight. The cost was $306.90. 1x Shock $209. Labour $60.00 Freight $10. Terry your yard has nothing on this place   The above pics just show a small amount, Can anyone tell what they think the bottom pic is? Heading towards Dubbo tomorrow . Deborah I had a look at the glass stuff you mentioned but nothing I could get too excited about but I did at the op shop

Looks like the remains of a burnt out truck, I reckon.

Yes it was a truck!
Bumper bar looks like nearly a headon that took out his right hand steer tyre & then flipped upside down flattening the cab & bursting in flames. I'm thinking it was a cab over because the chassis doesn't look long enough for long nose.
