Thanks Bob for the kind suggestion. Think we are ok now. Found a caravan site for a couple of nights at Bli Bli and heading further South on Friday. I promise to have better places booked in advance from now on.

Tried to visit the local shops today, but there are roads all closed getting ready for a festival and others just dont have any parking at all, So we gave up and had a pub lunch instead. Spent the afternoon reading and chilling.

We had planned on stayong in Qld for a bit longer, but we lucked out. Beenleigh showy treasurer had assured us that there was space for us, so we drove in, only to find the whole place was full of parked cars and nowhere to stop. After a phone call again, we were assured of a spot, but may have to wait until the business expo (up the road) closed later tonight. The showground was beng used for their parking and we really had no choice but to drive off. Nobody wants to be setting up in the dark, if they can help it and we had no real need to be there. So we drove down the road to NSW and are now in Murwillumbah showy, with a banana festival happening here tomorrow. So we will have some entertainment as well as a few nights in a lovely peaceful setting.

Well the banana festival was a bit, small town, but still had a good day. Best steak sangas for lunch (they had lettuce, tomato and beetroot , like a hamburger) and I found a stall selling dehydrated fruits that are yummo. I bought some mango and dragon fruit, pure deliciousness.
