George that is the same mob that has taken 7 months to install my mates system, it worked fine for a month and a couple of weeks ago the inverter shit itself, it still isn't fixed. They wanted to access the inverter by wifi and I used my portable modem to provide it as there is no wifi at the premises, they didn't get it done in the few days it was connected so he is still waiting for them to send someone out, now a month since it died.

Found this with a quick Google search https://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-11-08/ ... n/10460212

We had an issue with under voltage at our house quite often in the mornings resulting in only being able to use 1 light globe and they had to be the old filament type and they barely glowed at all. We had to unplug the fridge so it didn't burn out as well as all the pumps. SA Power told us it never happened  We are the last connection on this line so ....... Anyway, they completely rebuilt the local transformer station in Mannum to get them up and out of the flood waters (probably why it hasn't rained serious since) and the problem has not occurred since. Having said that, the electric stove can sometimes battle to boil a saucepan yet other times burns the lot before you know it, so ......

The AC voltage at our inverter ranged from 222-257.8 yesterday.

Do you have any specs on the inverter George, does it specify an upper voltage disconnect?

Thanks Jon, George must be using a different browser, that option isn't there on IE and after more problems than I care to battle through again, I no longer use any of the "also ran" stuff.

About the only thing in the specs I can find is Nominal AC voltage/range 230/187v - 276v. I doubt the grid people would allow an input of 276vac to the grid, so it must be part of the programming the installer does that limits the maximum voltage.
