Welcome to the forum Hullabaloo, that is a very clever idea yo have there. Any chances of measurements etc? Or do you find the box first and then make it to size?
What locks it together?

Hi Hullabaloo, that's a ripper of a choofer. Welcome and please post something in the "introduce yourself" thread. :D

Hi there, thanks for the welcome.
The approximate measurements are shown with the pics. but obviously they could be adapted to taste.
A close look will show 3 wing nuts on the left of the front panel (the one with the door), they lock the 2 outer edges together, the other edges are all hinged inside or outside as required for the folding.
The fire came first and then I acquired the box, so had to modify the fire slightly to fit the box, but it was worth it as it keeps all the soot and junk contained. I find that it is much easier to carry than the standard gas bottle choofers and takes about 2 minutes to fold out and assemble.

I very much like the drill box idea, but imagine it must be the size of a 4.5kg bottle when set up to fit in a drill box - unless it's an impact or jack hammer drill box.
Something to visually relate to (hand/foot, small dog or tape measure) would help to know if it would fit in our available spaces.
Are there formal plans and/or is there a patent? lol

This little choofer looks like an improvement on ours. More space in the boot as well

If someone is going into production I would be interested in one also.

What a great idea, something like that in its own case would fit in anywhere. Bloody brilliant.

I think I saw something similar at the markets held at the Boonah rally. The chap had a very similar idea, it was sections of galvanised steel hinged to form a square and there was a grate that fitted into the top. It also folded into a flat arragnment. No I do not have his name or any other details. Maybe someone could research the stall holders at the local Market day, Boonah 2012. Just a thought.
