Got a dash cam for the car but it needs a memory card and a card reader?? Where does one obtain those things and any certain brands to or not to get???

Memory cards at the local PO are OK & then you can demand a refund if they don't perform.
Depending on what type of card you need, ........... doesn't your laptop have a card slot?
Most now days are SD cards. Is that like your dash cam? Same as your phone.
Do you have a link to the one you have?

The cards as usually very small & they need an adaptor which they slot into if you want to have a look at the snaps on your computer. Bugger, mind has gone blank as to the store we get most of our bit & pieces. A very good 12 volt store called--------. Shall get back to you. Hardley Normal also sell them.

Dot if you buy something like this one, you get a memory card PLUS the card fits inside the bigger one to pop into your laptop slot. (if it has one?)

Does the Navman say what size maximum for the card?
EDIT: says max 128Gb

If you are within range of an Officeworks, they sell multi-gigabyte SD cards fairly cheap.
The more memory capacity you have, the more the camera stores before overwriting stuff.

Wish I'd had my (temporarily U/S) dashcam working yesterday.

I was following a B-Double down a country road.
Moron in a Captiva overtook me across double lines approaching a crest.
Had to pull in smartish behind said B-Double when a car crested the road from the opposite direction.
(Surprise! What did he think the double lines were there for?)
We both followed the B-Double toward town, until the driver turned into the industrial estate... after giving way to another truck with an excavator on a trailer, which turned out in front of the Captiva.
We both followed it sedately down the road - 20km/h below the posted 80km/h speed limit - to town.
He gained about 20ft on me with the overtaking/suicide pass.... and he kept that massive lead all the way to the shops.

I suspect the B-Double driver was aware of what had happened behind him, and had a little conversation with the other truckie ... 8-)
