Had another hot & busy day, running around to the hammer shop and finalizing the presents, and now we finally have some eggs to have with our ham for festive breakfasts.

I am zonked, so off to get some ugly sleep

Seems the sa court site is having troubles, the court lists are usually on their website no later than 5pm for the next days naughty people. Guess we shall make an early start and call them while on the road there, can't miss this one. Only down fall is the dam weather going to be a really nasty one. No fangs in today a bit too sore so having a rest.. Time for cool shower and bed e buys so goodnight everyone x Goodnight Peter & Sandra x

heat here today was also horrendous. I had a van to pack, so the door was only opened to let me in or out. Not only has it been b. hot, but the smoke filled air is thick enough to cut (again). So it's been a very long, difficult day.

"tanks" here---Dot, the place where you are going should be air conditioned (if the SA power is not overloaded) so take a thermos of tea and some scones and even a cut lunch and a good book.

Court lists up this morn and all systems go. The TV was on, the 3 justices came in sat down and one by one they spoke legal lingo but I think we got it right. The whole thing took no more than 40 seconds and the guys had gone . Waited for the DPP man to come out and just asked him "What did they say"? 3/3 said they rejected ITs application to appeal. It was really nasty in the city so with the warning about the freeway may be closed we hightailed it back home to cool the birds down. We were to catch up with Terry & Margaret but just wasn't the day for hanging around in the heat. All in all a great day so IT has no more avenues to follow even an appeal to the high court would get knocked back. I then rang 3 of the girls to let them know and they were relieved to say the least. End of that now...The cool strong winds are here and there is also a fire down at Langhorne creek but so far under control. Glad tomorrow is going to be cold Goodnight everyone x Goodnight Petels x

had a good drive up to Forster today , p\only to be greeted by fire engines rushing up the road to a bush fire quite close by. It seems to have been contained this time, but scary and now the air is full of crappy smoke and heat. Could have stayed home to have the same problems. Oh well, we are hear now, so we will force ourselves to enjoy a holiday.

Had a quiet day here. Setting up all of our extra shade structures and tidying up all the ropes etc. Been a busy time as well as having a quiet sleep in day...might not get many more sleepy times this year.

So ends another day, cool but pleasant. Every bit of grass and shrubs watered in readiness for the next heat wave onslaught. Did a few calls today to check on a few people in or close to the fires and all ok.
