Dot, it seems like the right weather to be doing nothing in too xxxx
Had the nice man out to move the caravan battery today. It went from under the bed, in front of the axle, to under the lounge, behind the axle. Hopefully this will help our ball weight to be a bit more like it's meant to be.
The afternoon was spent trying out the husqvana sewing machine. Very easy to operate and made the decision to keep it, very easy. The poor old janome has now been dumped in the garbage. I wont be needing to work with it anymore.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dot, no good going over the ditch, they are getting our smoke haze as well. Have fun planning your escape mate xxxx
Yes it's the smoke that is causing us both to be so unwell. Strangely, we both suffer for allergies to smoke and we seem to be taking it day about as to who has the lounge and the boxes of drugs. Today, we have no fires anywhere within a huge radius, but we still had a smoke haze that you could cut. We had to go out to the cheapy chemist for another supply of drugs, so continued on into Newcastle to do some bullbar research. All I can say is, this truck is costing us a lot more than I even thought possible. Apparently there is only one bullbar that has been fabricated for our model patrol, so like or lump it, that's the one he bought. I hate it already, especially with two great big owl eye fog lights, but that is how they come. We will probably never use the fog lights, but they will be there anyway and may help us to sell the beast when the time comes. So in 3 weeks time, we will get the bullbar fitted.....ouch

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dot you don't know how close you are. xxxx
George we are planning to a bit longer trip this year including WA and NT in the roads to be travelled. When we had the prado, we felt that as most farmers have some variants of land cruisers, we would always find parts on our travels. Dont expect to find too many spare parts or radiators for patrols out there. We have so far avoided the hundreds of roos that we see annually and have had quite a few very close calls with the stupidest bird on earth, the emu., but don't want to be spending months beside some forlorn outback roadhouse while we wait for a radiator to come from Japan.
Had a crappy day today, the air is still not clear so going to get some ugly sleep now.
night all xxx

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Long day for sure, great run into town, had a really nice dentist at the clinic, she even saw the 2 ulcers right up the top of my top gum and then turned her attention to the new lower plate that they made but it was like a vice so have left it out till today after she shaved a bit off the part that grips around my teeth. Then back up the hill where I picked out my new frame for the new glasses, got bi focal's this time for use in the car really so I can see the buttons and things. Then did a couple of little things like bought a new handbag , got some bread then we headed to the hairdressers for our spike & dyke cuts then got home then went to sleep
We has a bit of useful rain as well so happy with that. Goodnight everyone x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Oh enjoy the sound of the rain on your roof Dot. xxxx
Today I finally got the draft copy of our tax ready for the accountant, Another job off the list.
On Monday, one of our jayco mates had their fairly new, big caravan stolen from a storage facility during a blackout. They put it up on our club f/book page and others put on their local pages. Today, one of our group drove past a van on the side of the road and it had the same numberplates as had been on f/book. Owners and coppers came out and yes it's their van. A little worse for the experience but nothing too serious. The 12 pin plug had been ripped off and the tvs are gone. But, hey, that's the power of social media today. The thieves had even been sighted to be enjoying their morning tea on the owners chairs, that were still outside the van. Hope the coppers can get right onto those crooks.
