Greynomad

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Good to hear you're getting better Ray.

(I didn't realise that Rutherglen was so close to the border.)

I can’t die yet.
Just had a call from SWMBO: reverse cycle a/c has Failed To Proceed... with the temperature outside at 45deg.
Had to talk her through (1) replacing batteries in the remote control and then (2) finding & using the ‘reset’ button on the wall unit.
🙄

GETTING CLOSER!!
This morning the Dr said I could go home today.
Unfortunately red tape scotched that idea.
I will need Post-Operative Home Care for a coupla weeks, and their bod can’t inspect our home for safety & required aids until Wednesday, even though Hospital’s Occ Therapist has provided the requisite gear and OK’d the house.
If I leave hospital before Monday (when their care cycle begins) I become ineligible because I left before getting their approval. 😳
But it’s OK for me to have a Dr’s leave pass for a home break on Saturday & Sunday, provided I return to hospital to sleep in the ward each night.
Then I’m OK to be discharged on Monday, despite the inspection not taking place for another two days.
I think there’s some logic buried in there somewhere. Anyone lend me a shovel? 😳😜
Regards & God bless,
Ray

"tanks" here---Ray,
Do you have to go onto home Oxygen while you are at home recouping and rehab.

Sounds like a load of bull crap to me, you can stay home all day & only need to sleep at the hospital? Hospitals around here like to clear as many patients as possible before the weekend, might as well stay & let the nurses take care of you for the extra couple of days.

Its called day leave but they still get paid as if you were still in hosp. They do a patient status each night, it all boils down to yep you guessed it $$$$$$$$. If you have a toilet raised chair a walking frame then what is the difference to being in the hosp? Poor ol Joy now has the added work of travelling more and cooking. Unless you are not telling us the real reason for going home in the day Ray ;) ;) ;) hmmmmm

"TANKS" HERE ---Ray,
Your breathing slows down of a night time when you are asleep --- I know because several times I wake up not breathing about 03:00am---so don't go to sleep at home of a night time, and stay in the hospital where they have the Oxy, and a few other things you may need. A few more days of hospital food won't hurt you.

Thinking of you
Keith.

"tanks" here---Ray,
I'm just reading back thru my post and it reads like I am teaching my grandmother to suck eggs, or is that teaching my grandpa to shell peas.
Of course you know that your breathing slows down when you are asleep.
