Thought for Today

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Dave,

I know all that; but what I don't understand is why are you balancing on a stick? Surely, a ladder is easier.

If you use one of those bendy sticks the circus people use you could just sway back & forth with a roller in your hand! 😜😀

I really must improve my technical English. The stick that I was referring to was the type that you screw into your roller frame so you can paint without the need to use a ladder or anything that you could climb. One of my old workmates once thoughtt that it would be clever to use the kitchen table to work off as his place had high ceilings. Of course he walked off backwards and broke his leg didnt he. He was off work for weeks.

X2, a small fire does a great job of messing up the ceiling and walls, then insurance pays for the repaint. I don't advise using the big fire method like catching the oil in the wok on fire while talking on the phone and burning the cupboards, rangehood, wrecking the ceiling fans and near tearing a lung out coughing from the smoke, but it did result in new ceiling fans, a full repaint of the kitchen/dining/lounge room as it was U shaped and trapped the smoke in that area yet out of the hall and bedrooms, a new rangehood, kitchen cupboards, and even a new wok, fire blanket and fire extinguisher  I still shake when ever I put oil in the wok to cook anything up and never leave the stove at that stage, just later when it's turned down so I just burn dinner rather than the house down

Why not just buy pre-painted ceilings? They have them in the paint shop. Next to the special paint section; gap filling paint and non-gap filling paint for window frames.

Oh, I get it now.

Carol uses the stick ("supervision", eh Bernie.) and Bernie uses the roller. Dave same for you?
