Quite happy so far. Handles really well. Need a bit more data on fuel economy. Find the noise in the cab quite loud though.

"tanks" here----Turn the radio on loud.
Just thinking---get a few USB things and record some music on them to play good travel tunes for the trip across the long straight road where you won't get any radio reception.

Keith, we played Spotify for a while yesterday but we like to monitor the UHF (a hangover from caravanning where we liked advance notice of wide loads so we could find places to safely get off the road) and it was impossible to understand what was being said on the UHF. We practically have to shout to have a conversation. I’m sure we will get used to it.

Lesley, have a bit of a search on here about sound deadening. There are a number of things that you can do.
Cheers

Yes, Dave I have read about that. Jayco did supply a fairly good looking carpet and we have spoken to others about it but it bears more study. Thanks.

I agree about the sound deadening material being a great help. Don't forget to do the doors also. The self adhesive type is the better material and also apply it under the bonnet and any other area that reflects sound from the engine and road.
Being a single person I did'nt have any conversation other than talk to the dogs.
I did find that an extension speaker for the UHF, mounted on the headboard at the back of my head was very helpful in hearing what was being said over the UHF radio. An elChepo speaker from ebay was all that I needed.

Re: Lesley & Erich on the road again.
What is your expected arrival time Lesley & Erich? We arrived back in Mannum around 1am this morning so we are using today to get the Hino emptied and try to recover from such a frantic trip. We will be ready to go first up in the morning .... well first up for us anyway

Yep, just spoke with Margaret. Expect us tomorrow PM. As we will be passing through Springton, I called Chris and Val to see if they were home for a quick visit. Unfortunately for us, they are making use of a travel auction in Clare so have postponed catching up till a later time. See you tomorrow.
