Re: Wayne world
Latest word is Junsi are bring out an better version soon, possibly with Bluetooth and WiFi capability so they can be mounted in a drone and send back the all important info about the battery cell condition while in flight.
The ISDT 8S battery checker no longer appears on the ISDT website so it might have suffered the same fate as the Junsi cell log8M & 8S. I believe these were the units that only had a buzzer alarm and not an alarm port, but that could be worked around, but I heard their reliability was sus when used for long term stuff like the T1 Lithium BMS. They were only designed for short term use so regularly disconnected to force a full reboot each time.
As far the balancers, even the blurb is in Chinglish and the current transfer rate is negligible unless the cells are a long way out of balance so not really suitable for LFP or LYP cells.
There is better balancer on the market that suits 4 cell batteries, but we only use them on 24v and 48v systems, a 12v battery doesn't need one and the 5 amp max transfer rate wouldn't be enough to stop a cell run away or excessive drain anyway.

Saw one of these units on Ballarat Bill's motorhome battery when we dropped of some material for his Stone The Crows talk. It hadn't balanced that battery so ....... Looking forward to seeing what success you have with is fix when we meet at Taggerty.Mrcoolabah1au wrote: ↑Sun Mar 08, 2020 8:12 am Yes order two new one should be here this week with a new battery balance monitor to even out odd voltage![]()

Re: Wayne world
Put the single cell charger on each cell until the light goes green, then when you add them to the battery, put all the cells in that group on the single cell charger till the light goes green.
Are you going to Taggerty? I didn't see your name on the list but I emailed Jon just in case there was a mistake
