Australian Trivia Only

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

I just read the blog too, wow, great experience for you both, great photos, lucky to have had the opportunity to spend 5 weeks in a beautiful remote area, thanks for sharing.👍👍

I'd thought someone might get the answer before I published my blog - it wasn't even written at the time when put the question up here. Need someone to post the answer though, so we can get a new question. ;)

Restoration Island named by Captain William Bligh when he landed there after the Bounty muntiny & David Glasheen is the modern day Robinson Crusoe.
There was a guy living a similar existence on an island in the Whitsundays many years ago & when we use to visit Cape Tribulation in 1969, an American guy had pulled his yacht up into the foreshore scrub & was living onboard it.

Busy at the moment & out again tomorrow, someone else post a question please.

Wow, Cuppa hope that wasn't the plane that flew you up to Lockhart River, very sad accident, feel for their families.

OK lets start this Aussie stuff going again. What part did Australia play in Apollo 13?

There was another radio telescope that also provided the link on this side of the globe, was it somewhere near Canberra? I think Australia handled the television link for the splashdown in the Pacific as well.
