Starting using my Generator the other day and it ran for a few minutes before cutting out.
I used it a few weeks ago and it ran OK for several hours.
Seems to run without load, then once loaded seems to cut out after a few minutes.
Starts immediately again but cuts out.
I will be in the Mildura area tomorrow for probably several days.
Can anyone direct to someone/business that may be experience with these small engines/Genny's.

First thing I would do, is check the oil level.I had the same issue a few years ago ,my generator (honda 2kw) has a low oil cut out contact.

I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

I had the same problem with one of my generators a few years ago and I took it to Midland Small Engines.
They found that a hard black plastic oil pipe was split and the mechanic sleeved it with some clear plastic fuel line.
No more problems after that.
I suggest that you pay the "fridge man" ma bit extra and he can work wonders with small motors.
He can work wonders with big motors also.
Don't get stuck in Mildura with your bus in one place and the Indian in another place. Check out which State has the best free camp places and head there with plenty of dunny paper, and tins of tucker -- enough to last a few months if closed borders are going to last a long time, as it appears to be on the books in the immediate future.
Small South West Queensland country towns rather than big population places would be a good bet and only a few days drive from where you are if you drive like Pet-Els. These small country towns have virtually no virus problem compared with the larger more populated places.

Had a play this morning.
Checked oil, plenty, although may need a change, now that I pulled out of its little hidey hole I can now see the three little warning light.
Low oil was fine, but with no load the overload light was dim, when plugging in load, the overload lit up and it died.
So don't think its the mechanical side. more like the generator side.
So now who to source to investigate???

Don't really know the model, 4400 watts is all I know, got it off Tanks.
Currently in NSW across the river from Mildura staying Bottle Bend Campground , tomorrow staying a few days at Buronga.

I THINK that is the generator I got from e-bay for the Forum gathering at 40 mile beach, Karratha in year 2013 or 2014.
I think it was only a 2 kva model. I can't remember which generator I sold you.
The oil pressure line was a hard black bakerlite type hose/pipe which had split.
It was repaired at Midland Small Engines WA, by having a fuel line "sleeve" inserted inside the oil pressure hose at the top of the motor.
You have to remove the covers to get to the oil pressure pipe/hose at the TOP of the engine.
Get Bob to check it out--he can work wonders with things.

Spoke with Bob today he's looking at my Waeco and will fix it.
I spoke about the generator which is 4.4 kw, he seems to think its an electrical thing, he doesn't do that cos of potential liability.
Still trying source someone close to mildura Area before I move on.
