Hi....... A question for the Hino RB145A people or maybe other Hino vehicles......how to operate/adjust the clock in the dash.
At the moment it has stopped but appears to be trying to move.
Thank you
Vic

Re: Hino RB145A clock
Had a look through my pdf manuals and there is no reference to the clock in the 145 or 160 models. I used to be able to do it but it has been erased from the memory bank and I cant try on the old bus as Terry removed the front panel where I re-mounted the clock.
There was a combination of press and hold one and then press another but cant remember which. Give us a photo and the memory may come back HAHA

Re: Hino RB145A clock
Is yours a green display digital model? There are 4 wires that go into the clock, 2 wires are constant power to keep the clock running, the other 2 wires light up the display when you pull out the engine electrics connect button on the right hand side of the bus. The clock did the rush trip from the roof to the dash when all the tiny screws Brian used to hold it up sheared off on one of those brilliant Victoria back roads. If I can find the photo you will understand why a lot of the wiring was removed

Ahhh, different thing, that is a transport dept type of thing for recording the speed, time driving etc. It would be a matter of finding out what brand it is and contacting them.

Re: Hino RB145A clock
Thanks Terry ...That is very interesting.....it does have a hole near the controls on top of the speedo ...that looks like a place for some sort of key …...Which makes sense, so it can not be fudged by the driver …
I will see what I can find out .
Cheers

Re: Hino RB145A clock
That means the unit is a Nippon Denso "tacho-graph" See if you can find a key to open it, it might just be a bit of paper stuck in the mechanism, otherwise, it is an instrument repairer like Humphrey's Instruments in Unanderra NSW. I have no idea if the original bloke still owns the show or is even still alive, but he sure knew his stuff.

Re: Hino RB145A clock
Our Fuso has a key hole for the speedo/clock section but the key went MIA when it was being transported from Qld.
