Re: Lesley & Erich on the road again.
We saw nothing interesting, it was all a blur.
Bruce, village management has introduced (among others) a self isolating rule for those returning from interstate/overseas of 14 days. All communal facilities are closed, even the wash bay and dump point. We made sure we dumped before we got home.
The village has organised Chemist Warehouse to pick up/drop off prescriptions. I’ve asked if Dan Murphy is next.

Re: Lesley & Erich on the road again.
A question for the South Australians.
The rig in this picture belonging to our friends here at Homebase with whom we caught up a couple of nights on their return journey from Kalgoorlie, received a $1098 fine for speeding down the big hill into Adelaide. The rig has been classed as a truck. Is this correct?

I think this is a grey area. Have heard of others getting a fine and then having it dismissed when they challenge it. I suppose if the rig is over 4.5 tonne it could be described as a heavy vehicle. I would be be stirring the pot on this one. I suppose they got pinged for the 60 kl/hr heavy vehicle limit and not the 90 kl/hr general speed limit.

Re: Lesley & Erich on the road again.
They only got home yesterday and opened the fine then so not paid. They are going to challenge it. Apparently they were classed as a truck.
Will let you know the outcome.

Re: Lesley & Erich on the road again.
I received a fine for doing 60kph in a 40k zone in my MH at 6:30 on a Sunday morning. When I queried it I found that there was a 200m 40k for trucks and buses and as our MH is a heavy vehicle the limit applied. I contacted some legal eagles who advised that as my vehicle was registered as a MH I may have a case but, if I was to lose the case, I would be liable for all costs.
My feeling is that such signs, rather than stating Trucks and Buses, should state Heavy Vehicles.

Hi. Tried to add a file but it would not let me. Have a look on the sa.gov south eastern site. It defines what is a heavy vehicle is.

Thanks John. Found this from your link. https://www.sa.gov.au/topics/driving-an ... rn-freeway
Certainly sounds like his vehicle is regarded as a heavy vehicle. I will ring them later today to find out what the verdict is.
