Re: Wayne world
Sorry, been off the forum and computer since Friday after my eye injection, it takes a while for it to settle down enough to actually be able to read the postsMrcoolabah1au wrote: ↑Fri Apr 24, 2020 9:39 am Number 1 test 20.4 from no2 on ssr to shunt

OK, try running a cable from terminal 4 to the shunt to confirm the negative circuit is still good, does the solar charging start when the wire is connected?

Well don’t know what did as you said put a wire on terminal four well did the sparks fly so quickly pull off again thankfully no smoke went back in side the and all is well getting 20 amp at the moment hopefully fixed the problem

Re: Wayne world
No idea what happened there, the PL20 should have been connecting terminal 4 on the relay to battery negative. Keep an eye on the cell voltages just to make sure the charging does stop when the PL20 senses the battery is fully charged.

Re: Wayne world
Remove the cables again and place a piece of tape over each one you remove. The reading now should be zero, not negative or positive as far as amps or watts comin in or going out. If you have a reading other than zero you need to reset the calibration so it returns to zero.Mrcoolabah1au wrote: ↑Tue May 05, 2020 11:50 am Ok just trying to get this thing working have pictures of what I did this morning 633A6E19-AC50-41B9-AB18-D037E74D9E60.jpeg

Once you have done that you can put the cables back onto the load side of the shunt. The SOC will not be accurate until you see all the cells higher than 3.4v and the charge current drop back to near zero for more than 1 hr while the sun is still out. Even though the SOC might read 100%, that part will not be recalibrated until the battery really is at 100% charged.
