Phone app

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Bought a drone for $35 just to try it out, unwanted gift. Spent a day putting it together, testing it in the lounge room read the instructions, tested the camera and thought about the next day. Just fly up, have a look around, maybe check the dams out or the horses and have a great day.

Next morning carried it outside, set it up on the house drive hit the switch and bloody thing took off so fast, :o rapidly gained height and the breeze was blowing it towards the trees the higher it got. Panicked :o  flicked the switch and a heap of plastic lay on the ground. Picked it up, straightened things up hit the switch, pretty lights and nothing :o . Inspection showed, badly damaged, beyond repair :? . Blade guards snapped, 2 arms split, battery no longer fits.

Yep I owned a drone. :D Anyone want to buy a slightly used drone and or small Li-ion batteries. It's in the box with the instructions

Basically it uses the phone location to track the person via the video cameras so they can directly identify anyone they came in contact with via facial recognition.
We already know Australia has all these type of computer abilities so it isn't much of a stretch of the imagination to see where that could end up ..... Seems the South Korean's just accepted that total breach of privacy, they knew it was happening but clearly have been conditioned to such treatment for so long it doesn't register as something serious to them now.
That is a very serious case of "Big Brother watching you" and no matter how much anyone wants to deny it could happen here, it is quite clear it can, all those safety cameras on the highway have facial recognition as do the speed cameras and red light cameras and that has been used for quite a while to catch out drivers trying to claim someone else was driving at the time .....

I was wondering why the speed demon on the freeway that went past at a speed I didn't want to do had a beanie pulled down over his face.
I thought "Robber" never thought of camera doing facial recognition

Do any of you really believe we are going o have out own personal drone looking after us ?????????????

If that is the case she had better be female and prepared to do a whole suite of services in exchange for invading my space !!!!!!!

Come on people, forget the loopies posting way out links.

It seems any one that wants to post whatever suits their agenda, totally without reference to fact, is accepted here ?

I believe the US has developed a "Mother Drone", it gets to where it has been sent to oversee and then drops a swarm of micro drones with designated capabilities, they do whatever they were programmed for, then fly to a prechosen spot for collection.
If you ever saw the movie "The Shooter" it gives a good example of a micro drone in action, it doesn't have to be flying to spy.

I guess a report made by the ABC is a bit too far left field, never let an actual vetted news report interfere with right wing thinking ;)
Don't take things to heart so badly Bill, we are just talking around a virtual campfire, everyone is allowed to think and voice what ever they want as long as they stay in the "friendliness first" requirement that adults should be good at but sometimes seem to loose sight of when looking at a screen rather than face to face.
Do you think we should go back to the previous forum stance where anything political is immediately blocked and locked? Surely we are all bigger than that ?????

I have the app installed. So far no drones have visited and neither have any other things nasty. We just need a good dose of being sensible and stop believing the conspiracy theories peddled by fictional tv shows. It's just a tv show.

Remember Ockham's Razor (no idea where the name comes from):
"If the choice is between a conspiracy and a cock-up, always choose the cock-up."

No matter how well intentioned the legislation is, or how many safeguards the govt puts in place with data from COVIDsafe, a cock-up is sure to result in someone getting their hands on data they shouldn't see.

When it happens (not 'if') it is entirely possible... nay, probable that the recipient will be able to take financial advantage of the data.

The ABC had some talking head on that was giving the whole Virus update info and he mentioned there was a revelation that the US govt could demand access to any information held by Amazon or any other data storage system an American company or any company that has a base in the USA has on file.
Best not to become a person of interest to any American agency, I'm not particularly worried about the orange president knowing where I've been, I just object to being herded into downloading a tool for information collection by any govt agency of any country. I'm not on any of the social communication sites like Farcebook, Flaptrap, Twitface, or any of the like. I'm on this forum, a private forum, the Prius forum and that's about it, I've been banned for quite a few of the others and just lost interest in many of others I was active on like the Australian Ford forum, The Cruiser forum and a few other smaller ones.
