Pay tv + vast system

Post by BobnBev »

Hi All , How many of you take Pay TV when you go on the road ?
We have pay at home and take it with us when traverling, its easy to do if you also have Vast tv. All thats needed is a twin LNB and 2 inlets to your van ( or a switch to switch the coax from Vast to the pay settop box ) from the inlet inside the van . The Sat. is the same one for all the tv systems. I think there is some kind of change over from C1 to D1.Not sure just what is happening, All seems to be working as normal just now..

On 1st November Optus made some changes to the C1/D3 satellite transponders.

I got caught with my Alden Auto SatTV dish, worked fine on Wednesday 31st October, wouldn't find the satellite after that.

Go a response from SatPlus on Monday morning with instructions on how to reconfigure to get new settings for the changes on the transponders.

Also in December some time some channels will switch from C1 to D3 requiring broadband LNB 10700, the old 11300 apparently won't cope.

Only the auto systems get caught, manually tuned and scanned probably ok.

I LOVE technology, what else could I raise my blood pressure with?

Hi, I took Pay TV with me when I went around Australia in the middle of the year. Used it once or twice a week and it worked well, although it took a bit out of the batteries. I have a portable sat dish and it was pretty easy to set up. Haven't tried Vast.
