Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!
Is the little one holding the foot onto the bigger one? We have a bit of a selection of various "G" clamps, but a few with the big .... what would you call it, depth maybe and a wide opening would be great. Problem is the strain it puts on the backbone of the clamp, stopping it from either bending or deforming as the pressure is applied or just simply snapping is the problem.
Bought a few of those strap and 4 right angle blocks threaded on the strap type clamps, great for building drawers etc to hold it together while he glue dries .... tried one for assembly work on an aluminium box while I tack welded it with the mig.... didn't work quite as well as hoped the metal distortion as the welds cooled was a bit much for the strap

T1,
The foot of the big clamp was the only place thin enough to attach the baby 🗜!
The big one was custom made for one of the members of our Men’s Shed — in ¼” plate! He occasionally needs to grip big stuff. Today he was working on an 8’ x 3” slab of tree he’s turning into an outdoor table.
Welded up a special 4”sq RHS bench with side rails & cross-runners to use his router to dress the top & bottom surfaces before he starts with the belt sander.
He doesn’t do things by halves...
Regards & God bless,
