Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

What a great night I had tonight chatting with Keith (Tanks). Turns out that we grew up in the same area.

I already knew our mothers lived in the same retirement village back in 2009 or so. Tanks had forgotten. But we both grew up in the Moorooka/Moorvale/Rocklea/Salisbury area of Brisbane. So lots of reminiscing about the places we remembered from way back when and high schools.

Lots of laughs and Erich, Bernie and Carol pretended to be interested.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane Tanks!
Cheers

Tanks told me that you boys were sucking the red stuff back pretty well, he sounded buggered and Lesley was sipping the white liquid  Just have a good time mulling over the memories. Looks like the weather is nice as well :( Todays ceremony was so pathetic, the pollies were late, I had to ask for a glass of water, got a present, a $1 coin it has Aust citizenship on it and is legal tender, a little Aussie flag, and a laminated certificate. No cup of tea or a cup cake just here's your stuff now piss off. Oh forgot I also got registration papers so I can vote  So that's it for today 1hr of travel for that bs. Thanks you lot for your wishes I am now a 3 time citizenship holder  Boys on bikes need me watching so off to bed and watch them slog their guts out up those hills. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight The Bunker Mob x :D

Welcome to Australia, Dot, Mrs newest citizen. Make sure that you do enrol to vote, or you will be chased down the street by the nearest polly wanting your vote.   xxxx

Had a disaster day. The kiln gods were not happy and I wasn't either. The plate that was in the for it's second firing split into several pieces. I suspect that a stray bit of stained glass had got into the fusing side of the shed, from when I was making the big window earlier in the year. Anyway the whole piece will be shot into the bin, because it will continue to crack every time it gets heated. so not worth the energy. a first for me. I am not exactly certain which of the pieces is the rogue one, so it's all or nothing. I have never thrown glass out before, but this is a learning curve here. I must remember to put each different style of glass into the right place after cutting bits off it.
Back to "normal" firing tomorrow.
After that happened, I gave up on the shed and did a few cleaning windows jobs upstairs. So I have worked on glass all day, just not my usual kinds of glass.

night all xxx
Deborah
