Re: Thought for Today
Nah, of course not. Nobody can! Haven't you seen how big the office is that the insurance co. is in.

Re: Thought for Today
I thought they sold it to pay the bushfire claims...
Wot?
Oh... They haven't paid those claims yet.

Re: Thought for Today
I think it was Billy Connelly in the movie The man who sued God https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Man_Who_Sued_God where he took on the heads of the religious groups as god's representatives on earth for the replacement costs, for his boat I think it was, because the insurance company deemed the loss as an act of god ......
I wonder how a Class Action against the church for compensation and a joint class action against the insurance industry claiming they didn't have the right to determine what was god's will and what was an accidental action caused by people ......

One for Ray:
Is it the "S" or the "C" in "scent" that is silent?

T1, that is a simple answer. It is the same as the one that is silent in scenery.

Re: Thought for Today
Are you sure, a silent S in scent would still sound like Cent as in a now theoretical amount in the Aust currency, but a silent S in scenery would be Cenery .... some what confusing because that would normally use a K rather than a C, Kenery, a place where shorten Kenneth's are laid to rest or collect to talk about their problems with Barbie ........supersparky wrote: ↑Tue Oct 27, 2020 2:09 pm T1, that is a simple answer. Re: Thought for Today
I have been spending quite a bit of time unraveling wires under the dashboard, so started to wonder if I can ravel them again?

I reckon it would be the same. How do you pronounce celery? No one mentioned K before.T1 Terry wrote: ↑Wed Oct 28, 2020 1:03 pmAre you sure, a silent S in scent would still sound like Cent as in a now theoretical amount in the Aust currency, but a silent S in scenery would be Cenery .... some what confusing because that would normally use a K rather than a C, Kenery, a place where shorten Kenneth's are laid to rest or collect to talk about their problems with Barbie ........supersparky wrote: ↑Tue Oct 27, 2020 2:09 pm T1, that is a simple answer.
