The rump is now desperate, he's throwing accusations at everyone including his supporters and backers. My friends told me today that where they live (Hicksville NY), you can cut the tension on the streets with a knife as no one can say what's going to happen and everyone is on edge.
They've sold more guns and ammunition this year than any other year in the USA, about 17 million and people have been buying cases of ammunition. Gun shops are empty because manufacturers can't keep up with the demand, more and more people are open carrying in states that allow it and there are quite as few.
My friends have bought guns this year for the first time in their lives and they are in all around retirement age. They want out but there is nowhere to go, they applied for visa's to Aus and were told to apply again next year as their travel was not essential. Most sane safe countries are refusing to issue visa's for yanks, or anyone else they say. Whether that is true or not, have no idea, but it sounds logical.
From my understanding, if the rump wins, his supporters will go berserk because he keeps telling them at rallies to sit back and be ready to act as the election unless he wins, is a fraud. He also keeps saying he is going to wipe out all the news media that's against him, which includes just about everyone but Fox and other Murdoch media.
If Biden wins, the trumps supporters could go on a rampage and challenge the authorities. The future will also depend on who wins the senate and reps, if the democrats win both and the electoral college elects trump, it will be bedlam and if the republicans won one or the other, it will be bedlam.
Biden has stated he is a transition president, if he wins, we may see the first female and black vice president become the president before the term is over. To me that's a great step forward, to redneck racists it would be a disaster. On the other hand, if Biden wins, everyone may just go home and accept it. The rumps a coward, so unpredictable, any guess as to his reactions to the election results, is way beyond me. Wednesday next well will be the day we should know which way it's going.

There are several shows on ABC & SBS that are so 'full of it' that it's offensive.
4 personalities plus the host trying to influence how more than 20million people should act/think.

Have no idea what you are saying Bruce, That show is done by the people that are doing this prepping thing, one couple believed that the ice was melting so much that the statue of liberty will be double it's size under water so they moved into the Texas desert to be safe?? Needless to say the people doing the assessing their preparations could only see this couple surviving 9 mths or so. He was even going to drink rattle snake blood as it has a high water content, then he was going to milk the snake and put the venom on a spear if people tried to ??attack them. There is that word again "offensive" who is and why?? I may be female but bugger me I am not stupid. Just a show real or not it shows how stupid they are.Brucie2 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 30, 2020 5:32 pm Have you ever thought it might be more to do with the people telling/showing you the info rather than the person themselves?

And developers are still buying land at, or just above, sea level and subdividing it, arguing hard against councils who refuse a development permit.native pepper wrote: ↑Sat Oct 31, 2020 6:02 am Dot, we have preppers here but not as fervent as in yankee land.

Some of the Doomsday Pepper's are clearly nutters, others .... well, who knows what is actually going to happen in the USA in coming mths/yrs? It might not be the Zombie apocalypse, it might be the Covid/White supremacist's apocalypse and those that have put away enough goods to survive in lock down away from other people might be the ones who live through the whole thing ..... if civilisation breaks down to the point where food security becomes an issue .... they might need to defend themselves .... I'd like to say Only In America" but it might get worse than that ...... China has a serious food security problem and if they loose control of their Australian holdings they will not sit back and take it on the chin so to speak ......
As far as distorted news items, have actually watched any of the Fox News and Sky News crap , or that complete nonsense the Murdoch "News" trys to push on people?... seriously, they are so warped in the "news" broadcasts it's almost a comedy .... if it wasn't for those who actually believe what they are saying ..... then there are the crazies on the net with their complete "Fake News" crap that Donald actually supports because he often repeats the same crap in his election campaigns .....
The old adage comes to mind, believe none of what you hear and half of what you actually see, even in person, there might be a completely different set of events that caused the scene you witness .....

And all our political parties are hell bent on clinging to gas, coal and fossil oil, even when they say the opposite. Labor has just declared they are all for more gas, coal, oil exploration and extraction. Their policies are exactly the same, just use different lies and deception. That's why state and the federal governments have taken development out of the hands of local governments, they know the people want change, but their supporters (donors and ideological masters) demand more of the same because they don't believe in reality, it just doesn't compute for them and we see that in the state of our nation. No different to the USA. except we got rid of the gun threat to a great deal whilst the yanks, jumped on the gun wagon, so it may all end badly for them.Greynomad wrote: ↑Sat Oct 31, 2020 10:04 amAnd developers are still buying land at, or just above, sea level and subdividing it, arguing hard against councils who refuse a development permit.native pepper wrote: ↑Sat Oct 31, 2020 6:02 am Dot, we have preppers here but not as fervent as in yankee land.![]()
I'm a bit of a prepper, in ground home, fully self sufficient, food stocks to last a few years, grow lots of food inside, unlimited water and energy. Been that way since a kid, when everything was a luxury, even food. Bus carries enough fuel so if something happens, we can still get home from just about anywhere in Aus without refuelling and there are stocks of used veggie oil everywhere round the country for free.
Today the rumps son has declared corona deaths are almost non existent, even though more than 1000 died yesterday and they recorded the highest number of new cases on record. Our government is not much better, the more ideological, the more corrupt and deceptive they are, you can see that with the rump.

Re: President Clown’s Unbeatable Logic
Do you have a link to back up your claim that Labor has declared they are all for more oil, gas and coal extraction? I seem to remember a huge outcry when labor said it would progressively shut down coal fired power stations, they actually did do that here in SA and the LNP along with their voters/supported went off their rockers over it, so they sure didn't support coal when it came to power stations anyway.native pepper wrote: ↑Sat Oct 31, 2020 10:28 amAnd all our political parties are hell bent on clinging to gas, coal and fossil oil, even when they say the opposite. Labor runs Queensland and allowed Adani to go ahead and it was only the other day where I read labor had reinforced its support for coal and gas, that's why I mentioned it. You don't give over $1 million dollars to political parties and expect nothing back, politics just doesn't work that way.
Seems people only listen to the propaganda they spew out to the public media, when the reality is the opposite and all parties track record supports that contention admirably. You only have to do a bit of research to see what their real intentions are.

The first link was about Labor's stand against the Adani and that leading to the loss of the election.native pepper wrote: ↑Sat Oct 31, 2020 3:09 pm https://www.australianmining.com.au/new ... ng-sector/

The second link uses a Farcebook post to support the political donations claim, not what I'd call a trusted source and it was back in 2017 ......
The next link is about the same yr period, just written in 2019 rather than 2017 .....
The next one .... I gotta say, about half way through I became so confused about what the whole article had to do with todays Labor party I gave up .......
I believe Shorten put forward a proposal for a gas pipeline up through the centre to NT, the link to Labor supporting fracking looks to be more suggestive than any actual quoting of labor supporting fracking ...... there is a lot of gas in these areas that does not require fracking so to suggest the $1.5 billion was to set up fracking in the area is the usual Farcebook crap .......
Sorry, actual links to where Labor actually supports the coal industry, oil exploration and coal seam fracking, not Farcebook claptrap .....
As far as gas being a transition fuel between coal and renewable .... still not fully one side of the fence or the other on that one, renewable energy can be used to create hydrogen from water and then hydrogen to methane capturing carbon that would later be released when the methane is burnt ... sort of carbon recycling to an extent and the gas pipeline would open these areas to a market for this form of renewable gas generation .....
