President Clown’s Unbeatable Logic

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

He most probably will end up in the pot being boiled by the law and everyone else he has ripped off, conned or belittled. His most fervent supporters, will all probably desert him very quickly, fools always grab onto who they think at the time will give them the feeling of winning, yet when the tables turn, they run like the sewer rats they are.

Latest theory is The Clown will resign the Presidency the day before the inauguration of Biden. :?

Two benefits:
1. He won't have to face the crowd of (mainly) Biden supporters (or shake Biden's hand after the oath is taken). ;)
2. It will allow Pence, as interim President to give The Clown a general pardon for all criminal charges past, present & future. :o

Anyone want to give odds on it happening?

Isn't there an official handing over ceremony required for the VP to gain sufficient power to grant a pardon? It would be interesting if there was an official court action blocking Pence from taking over the presidency that lasted until after Biden was inaugurated, thus blocking the pardon possibility and leaving Donald open to court actions he is hoping to avoid ..... bankruptcy where he looses Trump Tower and his golf courses would be a real sting, loose his residence and his playground .....

How long will Melania hang around if Donald looses everything? At 50 she could still get another sugar daddy but if she leaves it too long she might find the field reducing dramatically once she is no longer in the spot light .....

Last things first, what are the odds Melania has already lined up her next sugar daddy?
Now to your main point:
The function of the VP is to automatically assume the Presidency if the Prez is incapacitated or dead (viz. JFK & LBJ). There can be NO challenge to stop the succession.
I’m willing to bet the two of them are in heavy discussions with their lawyers to organise the succession & pardon at the last minute so the people have no time to generate anger and indignation sufficient to make such a tactic politically unpopular.
The only downside to such a manoeuvre is that both men would go down in American history as sneakier & more disreputable than Nixon.

I do a lot of reading on Quora and the consensus seems to be that Pence still has political ambitions post Trump. The majority of Americans seem to say he will resist any pressure to pardon Trump.

Is this information you can take to the bank? No. Merely the opinions of Americans seemingly qualified to give an opinion.

Personally, I'd put an each-way bet on the outcome.

The past few days the ranga seems to have gone very grey. Maybe ever his hair dye has deserted him.
