I have the enerdrive elight gauge (which is a re-badged Xantrex)

To reset/recalibrate the gauge all you do is push the two outer buttons in simultaneously when the batteries are fully charged

If you have a reasonable amount of solar I'd say no, it has the same problems as any of the other MPPT units, it won't charge the battery if it sees another charging sourse operation at the same time. this is a major failing of all the DC to DC chargers, they don't pay well with others.

I have a ctek d250s terry. it work's fine as solar or dc dc
charger on it's own. if I hook up the ac charger it sulk's.

This the reason it will only work on solar or alternator, not both together.
A far more sucessful method of battery to battery charging is an inverter and mains charger. If a 3 way battery switch is placed in te cable before the inverter both units become dual use, an essential when living in a varavan or motorhome as room, usfullness and weight are the things that are at top of the list.
