Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!
Some came from Zara in an interview a year or so before she popped off.
Much from newspapers of the day, and investigations published on various anniversaries of his disappearance (17 Dec 1967). Mungo McCallum did the hard slog of collating it for his book, which I named earlier.
Ps. One of the’nubile young women’ was Marjorie’s daughter. Open minded, wasn’t she?
Not sure if daughter was partying with mum’s boyfriend or her dad... coulda been both!

There is a little pub in country SE Qld that has a wealth of memorabilia hanging from the ceiling. It is noted for the Steele Rudd history on display. It also puts on a pretty decent weekend lunch. There is a good free camp in the nearby disused rail yard. What is the name of this old pub or the name of the little town it is located.
Cheers

Have read Mungo's book also we heard the news of his disappearance the night of a pre wedding dinner give by my bridesmaid at Walla Station- a bit of trivia!
Dined at ‘Rudd’s Pub’ (formerly the Imperial, from memory), bought the T-shirt! Also visited the site of Steele Rudd’s childhood farm.
When I wore the shirt in following years, people would ask, “Does Kevin own a pub?”

In my working life I was a Qld police officer when we has a re issuing of registered numbers in the late 70's we had one fellow who had the number 007. He was chief superintendent Jim Voight. Yep a real 007 .
