Our new trip

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

I am going to crawl into a hole & hide! Bloody water is now running down from the window winder- probably where it always has done but it has NEVER shown up as clearly as this morning. It is dripping down from the back of the actual winder handle

Have we spent an unnecessary $300  :!:

Oh dear. that doesn't sound good at all Kay.

Sitting her in ours, looking at our front window/winder & trying to imagine where the water could be coming from... considering you now have the new cover outside. I would imagine the top sail track would prevent water getting to the window frame... assuming it has been stuck on properly. :?

Stuck on, or stuck & screwed on? :?

Thinking back to our Winnie. Had a sail track added above the rear window for a shade cloth attachment... it was Sikaflexed & screwed... but... the RH side screw hole had not been sealed/Sikaflex prior to inserting the screw - self tapper. Consequently water eventually dribbled into the cavity between the window & the corner of the Winnie causing minnie sideways stallegmites to form on the inside of the inner panel.

Damaged panel was cut out & replaced - under 'warranty' - courtesy of a friend in the right place at the right time.

Winnie was 4 years old at the time.

Hope your problem is easier to find & rectify.

Chuck the top sail track has been stuck, screwed, you name it so cannot possibly be coming in there!

That's what I thought about our sail track... hence my mentioning it.

Looking at the winder photo again... is that the front RH corner of the van?

If so, looking at the photo of the new cover... could the water be getting in from the clearance light above the RH corner of the cover?

Hi Kay not a good start things can only get better, :) re- water from window winder ....we had that same problem with our new van last year camec replaced the winders for us as they said some part on the inside was breaking down might be worth a call to them, can't tell you if it has really worked as we have had very little rain since it was done but what rain we have had all looks good. Our repair man said that he has had to do this to quite a few windows... do hope you get it sorted...

Cheers Ros.
