Every day occurrences are still not acceptable when people are hurting others. Just do not understand why that is news at all, because it is making violence to be so common that it will become "normal behaviour" to many idiots. xxxx

Our news is more rain and damaging winds following on the coast. Many roads on the way home, have been closed and there doesn't appear to be a sensible/safe way home. Decision to stay right where we are, is not a hard one . Although heavy rain is predicted for here, we are above the highwater level and on a site next to a building, which is giving us extra shelter. We will stay here for a bit longer and read the weather expectations and road conditions in the morning.

The weather is getting wetter here, but we are up high and dryish. The grounds around us are sodden, but not flooded by any means. Same as last night, too many road closures, so we paid up to stay tonight and tomorrow night. We will have another rest day tomorrow and then make a decision about moving on.

Had a surprise visit this arvo Terry and Margaret and little squirt doggie and no TV's were harmed in this encounter. G sees the surgeon in a week or so to have his hernia poked in and out and when he will get the chop Plus the results from that monitor tube that was down his throat. Getting as bad as me I managed an egg sandwich for tea but it was a job and a half. Good night everyone x Goodnight Tanks and good luck for your trip tomorrow x

The rain seems to be clearing a little, so will investigate sites in Tamworth in the morning. We wont think about packing up the van until we are sure that there is a place for us to stop in Tamworth.

Ray, good thing we are not out to make a million then I usually sell my stuff for what it cost to buy the glass. I don't want to feel pushed to make things just because they will sell and the glass is dear enough.

Today we reassessed our housing and decided to move to Tamworth. It was an uneventful drive, we had a site booked before we left Armidale and we listened to the truckies as we came into town. The Peel River has broached it's banks and has made several main roads unusable. As we do know where the river runs and where the town roads are, it was easy enough to get around the edges of town and up to the hill where our caravan now sits.

Tomorrow, we will go and have a look at the shops that are open and see what we can see,

I was on the ph last night to my M8 in NZ, she is battling along but I think we may be on the right track now re her bro. I got onto a lovely PA to the opposion leader (NZ) and told her the saga, she rang Sue and things will be sorted soon re the legal cockups including one of the judges. Bugger who they are, cock up like he has and watch out. Anyway last night we had some nice rain. Brian had his vet check today and also his usual worming done. All good so all happy.
