Sorry, not sure if this is the right place to,p post this but just wondering what is the current inverter fridge recommendation for a Lithium setup? Have tried to search without much success. Not for us but a friend is asking.

Re: Inverter Fridge recommendation
First thing is to get one that fits in the space WITH a little bit of space on each side for cooling.
Second thing is to make real sure it is an INVERTER fridge.
Some don't actually tell you if it is or not.
Some brands to check are...
Fisher & Paykel
Samsung
LG and some others no doubt.
Be aware some of these brands also make ones that aren't inverter.
Is it a caravan or MH?

Re: Inverter Fridge recommendatio
Thanks Bruce. Actually I didn’t ask if it was a MH or caravan but does it matter? Since we have installed the T1 Lithiums we often plug the 3way fridge into the 240v via the inverter to run it whilst the solar is topping up the batteries. We are considering removing the 3 way as T1 recommended during the initial install.
We’ve run Lithiums now for 9 years in 2 caravans and now a MH. Both caravans had compressor fridges and all went well. The MH has a 3 way fridge with 2 x 3.7kg bottles which run out quite quickly. So now we are thinking about getting rid of the 3 way. I’ve been looking for a comparable (size wise) inverter fridge.

Re: Inverter Fridge recommendation
No, doesn't matter but if it's a caravan sometimes the space is limited whereas if it's a decent size MH it is usually easier to fit in a domestic fridge.
The Samsung 227lt was a good fit in many places but it sometimes is a little too high without cutting & chopping.
It's not sold now I believe but there are cheap 2nd hand ones around on Gumtree/Facebook etc.

Re: Inverter Fridge recommendation
We just fitted a 269ltr Euromaid 2 door fridge to Barry's big bus because the Vitrifrigo 240ltr 2 door had very erratic cycling, between melting everything in the freezer to freezing everything in the fridge
.
Margaret bought two of the Euromaid 269ltr fridge/freezers from the Hardly Norman clearance house for under $500 each. Turns out they are not inverter models, Barry's 1000w inverter wouldn't run it, but the Victron 3000 doesn't have a problem, even with the microwave running when it kicks in.
We had to remove the shelf above Barry's fridge and the drawer below, but apart from that it is a very neat fit and looks better than the one that came out.
The second Euromaid 269ltr is going in the Hino because the one in there keeps tripping the RVD at the most un-opportune times.

Re: Inverter Fridge recommendation
Thanks Bruce and Terry. Erich found a Westinghouse fridge with the right dimensions but sadly it appears not to be an inverter. They make larger capacity inverter fridges but sadly too big for an RV.

Re: Inverter Fridge recommendation
Leslie, will this one fit your requirements
https://www.appliancecentral.com.au/gt- ... 5vEALw_wcB.
The ad says delivery to Sydney only, then specifies 2 days to Qld. So I'm guessing that qld delivery is available, but extra cost.
I have an idea that George has something similar to this one.

Thanks Dave. Unfortunately that one is too tall for us I think but will look further into it. Could be useful for the person who was asking a friend. Will pass it on.

Re: Inverter Fridge recommendation
Leslie, look on the Hisense website, we have a 220l but it's not an inverter one. Their tech info shows the kwh/year usage. We find ours very efficient space wise however. Julie has said she would prefer an upside down one. https://hisense.com.au/appliances/fridge/all/
