Hi all,
Hopefully not the wrong place to ask this question.
I haven’t been able to access the RV Lithium forum for 2 days, incuding just now.
I keep getting the following message “Safari cannot open the page because the server can’t be found”
Anyone have any ideas?
Regards,
Ian

Re: RV lithium project
Nabble is moving it's operations and there will be a loss of access until they get their act together .... either that, or we just lost the whole lot.
Sorry I was just too busy to get the new forum up and running so we could shift over all the information we wanted to keep .... might just be too late now
For those wondering what this is all about. A person who was guided through the lithium battery installation process over 10 yrs ago, was so impressed he opened a private forum for all those who were in the process of adopting this new technology could share their experiences and we could develop a system that was hardy, could be easily fixed using parts available at an major town or could be mailed out, no matter where the problem occurred.
There were roughly 125 active members, we shared a lot of information that helped de-bug any issues and showed the many different approaches to do the same thing ... some worked a lot better than others
The problem that sprang up from this was the very steep learning curve, once climbed so we each understood what the other members were saying, the posts became far to hard for any newcomer to understand just what was going on. As a result, we had a 100%drop out rate after the first 3 yrs of the forum running, so we ended up closing it to new members and just kept it running as a private forum where we could talk about just how our systems were operating and ask for help if it was ever needed.
The reason it was a private forum and closed from the public, there were a lot of commercial interests who wanted the information without actually needing to spend the big $$ and time doing the research work, a certain book writer was among them ..... so we had to introduce a rather strict rule that the information on the forum stayed on the forum ...... break the rules and you were banned from the forum ...... We had a few early on, one that tried to set up his own lithium installation business via Farcebook ... and the cheeky bugger was asking on the forum for help with systems he'd built that were having problems ..... he got real snaky when I banned him
He was actually a member of this forum for a short period ..... haven't seen a post from him in a long time

Hey Terry, Erich sent an email to sales@t1lithium on 23rd July. Did you receive it? Some questions about the DC to DC charger.

And how we miss Lindsay's remote diagnosing abilities of electronic problems. Just spent 2 days working out what he would have done in seconds.

Working on it, I think I have it sorted but I still need to sort the security issues.
