Tania Verstak was Miss Australia 1961 & went on to become Miss International 1962, does it have anything to do with the fact James Packer's preference over the years has been dating models ?

Tania Verstak, Nina Young's mother was an editor for one of the magazines owned by the Packer empire. But she used her married name. Tania Young.
And, I suspect that you knew this from your previous existence as a journalist and editor.
I can't find the name of the magazine without getting a subscription to the Sydney Morning Herald, but that isn't going to happen.
