The scary part about this federal govt push for opening up the country when 70% vaccination is reached, this is based on a report dated over 1 mth ago so well and truly out of date the rate things change lately
With contact tracing now well out of the reach in a 24 hr period in a number of states, that puts this modelling in the "no longer relevant" basket and the whole idea has to be looked at again .....

The whole idea of how we handle goods transport drivers and Covid, when the whole thing had been moved to road transport a very long time ago, is going to be a real problem. The simplistic idea of trailer hubs at the border where the trailer is moved by drivers in their own trucks from the state it needs to cross, misses the whole point that not all trailer can simply be dropped and how are the owner/drivers supposed to organise such a system .... not all air hook up systems, electrical hook up or turntables are even the same so compatibility there is an issue. Basically, this idea would only work for the big transport companies who already do this, because their fleet is set up for that sort of operation .... even though they like to think so, they are not the only players in the game ..... Not a problem that can be sorted easily, maybe interstate truck driver refueling, shower facilities and eating establishments that other members of the public are banned from so any outbreak is much easier to manage ........

If you have to have go interstate for your job at least have the decency to think of others. Ignorance is no excuse. Get the dam jab or stay at home.

My g'son had the AZ jab, y'day arvo felt unwell half hour later, went to bed 8.30pm couldn't go to work today, really sore arm, pain in joints, headache, feeling lethargic, I told him if his condition deteriorated to go to the hospital, he's 24yrs old, we both had AZ no reaction except knowing we'd had a jab in the arm.

His body is fighting the effects of something new that it doesnt recognise. It's meant to be a good thing.

I've often wondered if these are the people who would have a really bad experience if they got coved. And getting the jab is important for them.... because the body is now trained to react in a better way.

But yes... hope he does get better and call his doc/hospital if he still feels unwell.

Shirley,
Despite your grandson’s reaction, it might be a good idea to suggest his partner not wait until October, but get an AZ jab asap.
October may be too late if in the meantime she comes into contact with someone carrying the virus…
Regards & God bless,
