Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Dot, you doing too much cleaning mate. The dust is what is holding most things together. ;) Take care xxxx

Had another waste of time day. I spent a couple of hours trying to find out how to get a proper certificate for our vaxes. Apparently, the letter from the quack will not count. So after fiddle farting around with mygov webpage, I finally found out how to get us signed in with medicare. That was another PITA. They seemed to ask the same questions again and again, until finally I had the sign up all done and the certificates that I needed printed. Only after I turned it all off, did I realised the certificates have a watermark on them, making them impossible to photocopy. I managed the signin, ok and printed off, enough to keep the world from imploding. I hate technology, I ignore it and it ignores me.

Had another 50% day in the shed. So more things getting re-done tonight.

Nighty night all xxx
Deborah

Well no cleaning of anything today from me. Did a bit of deadheading bottle brushes and grabbed a few weeds. Heard a magpie squawking like a baby one wanting a feed but it turned out it was on its back and 2 bigger birds were pecking the crap out of it'd head, it tried to get away but they got into it again so I tried to chase them off but even when I was standing right by the poor little one the others were still trying to attack. I took my jumper off and picked the poor bird put in a cage with some bedding and water covered it up and if it is still alive in the morning I will get in touch with fauna rescue. They certainly made a mess of it's head and ? left eye. :( The new bird netting is great, much stronger than the normal white stuff. Must get to bed now so Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Tanks and Mr Major x :D :D

Thanks from "tanks" and Major. Late time for your bed last night Dot.
I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Dot, how is the magpie doing? Sounds like a nasty event with bird attacks. xxxx

Robert, thanks you for the thought. I don't have great faith in using the phone for technology stuff. I have a bad habit of losing my phone, so the hard printed copy is vital for us to function. According to the press, we will need to show proof of vaxes for a few months in this mad state, just to be allowed to venture into some places. They are mostly places that do not interest us anyway, but we needed to be sure of having the proof.

On Friday, one of the locals had their house fully burnt down. We believe it was accidental. This town has amazed us with their generosity. The couple and their dogs, got out safely, but not much else. So there have been offers of free rent in holiday homes, clothing, food and someone set up a go fund me page. The local Post Office have said that to save the page people getting a percentage of the money, the PO would act as a bank for any money donations. I don't have to think twice about where we want to live for the rest of our time on earth. Just the caring people, who are probably strangers, is wonderful. I have seen the lady's name pop up from time to time on the local f**kbook page, so I do know of her. But to see how much this community has dragged together to help this couple, it's heart warming.

The kiln is doing it's thing again tonight. I wasn't happy with the messy one, so tonight I am flattening it, to start all over again. Never a dull moment.

night all xxx

Deborah I contacted the Fauna rescue last night, got a message today saying the lady would he here by 11am to pick bird up. Right on 11 she turned up, she said from what I had described she said most likely the young bird may of lost its mum (car strike) and it was asking for food from another group but they wouldn't accept it so they tried to bully it away. Anyway the lady had a quick examined the maggie said it was under weight so she took it with her to live with another orphan as they need company so a happy ending. Sad to hear about your neighbors fire and yes you are lucky to have such a supportive community.. Off to the city tomorrow so I had better get to bed. ? Opening borders for bloody horse racing yet the charity run is not allowed ?? still big numbers of covid positives daily and reopening just about everything????? just don't know how they can justify this bullcrap. My mask will be my companion for a long time to come.Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Mr Bandit x :D

Woo hoo saw the tongue man today and he was very pleased and will see me in 6 months.. it is just on 4 years ago my tongue adventure began in earnest and still in progress. Picked up 2 crepe myrtle biloxi trees good size $20 ea. Bugger me the house next door got hit again by some mongrels, this time they chopped the wiring for the hot water cyl , that is their 3rd visit in 3 weeks. I rang the owner about it and he has blown the company to bits for not having the place secured and it is 3 mths past completion date already. Then to add to that there was a women's bike out the back just against the wall ?? not the owners so we put in our shed and he said I could call the coppers to report it. Well ha ha I did ring told them what the story was but they said the VICTIM had to contact them, they wouldn't even take his ph number ? Back to the victim with the news. The bike is a Repco and 6 gears. Must of been pinched and dumped maybe to come back later ??? Thieving rat bags. Anyway time to hit the sack so Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Miss Evie x :D

Gee Dot, you got some weird things happening near to you. I cannot understand how a stolen bike being dumped can be the problem of the dumped on. He isn't a victim, just an unlucky person with unprotected property. He should be demanding a security guard every night until the shack is finished. Great news from the tongue man xxxx

Spent most of the morning going to a gp visit. Had a good chat, got scripts and referrals, had a few questions answered and then home for a late lunch.

Such a dedicated artist, I went down to my shed in the rain. Seems like a record breaking week of 50% firings. One good, one crap. This is a luxury to have the time to fiddle even more than normal and get things just the way I want them to be. Even if it does take 11 firings.

The rain has stayed for most of the afternoon and now it's just cold. So it's back turning on the big gas heater to keep our toes warm.

Hope your beds are all warm,
night all xxx
Deborah

What a ripper of a day, I puddled around trimming some spent blooms off the bottle brushes, and also some weed spraying. I also went through a box of shade cloth bits, tarp off cuts and some of my dads swag bags he hand made when he was a kid in the merchant marines, one of them had written on it A.P. Sidney, Strathaired (name of the ship we came from England to Melbourne in 1956) then Melbourne. Gave me a real buzz as I had not seen that writing before. Hope all went well with your GP Deborah. I am confused why are the restrictions being relaxed when the covid cases are still increasing ????? Expecting the weather to be coming in nasty for the next couple of days but at least won't have to water the grass, Time for bed so goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight BernieQ x :D
