Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Dot, welcome to our world of utter confusion. Some of our "freedoms" have been restored because of the % of people who are now double vaxed. Our issue is still that we are being considered as "Greater Sydney" so we can travel into the depths of depravity and germ mongers, but we cannot go out of the area. Apparently by next week, we will have 80% double vaxed, so then we will be allowed to go "out of area" to regional areas, like our favourite shops across the bay. Good to see you are doing garden stuff xxxx

Lady doc is happy, so that's another check up out of the way. She is researching the use of cannabis as a pain killer and the extra ones of the synthetic cannabis that are now being tested for use in Aus and USA. The way we understand this, any pain killer that is morphine derivation, (like codeine), is going to become addictive and useless over time. Apparently the cannabis derivative ones are less likely to have those side effects and so may be better for long term pain relief. Apparently the synthetic cannabis, is trying to allowed for use here and USA, but as an over the counter, no script required drug. All very interesting.

Kiln was another 50% day. One piece is back in tonight being flattened again. It looked crappy, so tomorrow it will get put in a totally different mold and hopefully it will be more interesting.

Hi Deborah would be good if our government was realistic for once and allowed the use of a more natural pain relief. Getting harder and harder to get what is required as so many hoops to jump through.

Big business in backyard cannabis oil in Australia but it is not refined and can be very strong . Have a mate that uses it as is the only thing that works for him with out being addictive.

Take care Robert

Hope your kiln did it's job properly Deborah. Q/ the latest numbers in Melb sees Covid pos have sky rocketed and yet they are relaxing things so much, just crazy, I do believe that it is a ploy by the powers that be to win votes for the up coming elections, thinking, lets make people happy by letting them go here there and everywhere for some made up fairy tale day. We are going to go anywhere but in our own home. I'm off to bed now so goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight SuperDavid x :D

Dot, home is definitely the safest place, but after 4 months it's losing some of the appeal xxxx

Robert, yes I agree with you. If we live long enough to see some better pain management things, it may be a better quality of life for some of us.

Kiln was a 100% fail today. The piece that I had in to be reflattened, managed to turn into a really weird shape and the bowl that was forming, just was yucko. Both being warmed up again tonight, maybe a better story tomorrow.

We have had an inch of rain today, hence it being an indoor day. It's also cold again, so not feeling like a spring in our steps at all.

A strong mind is better than anything you put in your mouth.
Because I have five collapsed vertebrae, I have significant pain 24/7.
Multiple radiation sessions dulled it, but couldn’t eliminate it.
While in hospital, a nurse taught me how to use my mind to control the pain sensors by blocking the signals. I guess it’s a form of meditation, but I can now do it without really thinking about it.
Sometimes I let my guard down, and realise it very quickly!!

Hi Dot. Miss Evie says goodnight and to tell you she is feeling a lot better but not 100%. She still has some discomfort and we hope it is only a strain she has picked up ( not cancer hiding somewhere) and the meloxicam she is on will fix it. We have been getting a lot of close cuddles since her day at the vet. Riverland Rose Festival starts this weekend and I suppose all the open gardens will have to have all the Covid stuff. Goodnight All.
Cheers John

John,
You’re lucky your open garden day can proceed!
Us poor disease-ridden Victorians had to cancel ours because of the bl#%dy Covid restrictions. 🙁

Dot, you have more energy than I do at the moment. Go girl xxxx

This afternoon we received a warning text to expect giant hail. I walked up the yard to be inside and the sky just opened and out fell giant hail. It was about tennis ball size and so loud. The whole storm lasted all of 15 minutes, but it was loud, wet and messy. Luckily, the only damage that we can see is the roses have taken a bit of a beating. A delicate pruning job and they will bounce back. No more stormy weather tonight.

Our premier has taken back the promise to open the state up, once we get to 80% vaxed. The creepy little man has reneged on the promise and they are expecting the targeted 80% to hit tomorrow. We have been so looking forward to our Jayco Christmas party, now we don't know what will happen. It was probably too good to be true.

Kiln went well. One piece is being slumped over an organic shaped mold tonight. I will either have a finished piece or some more therapy tomorrow. The other piece looked great, but it is still way too thick in parts. I decided to have some hammer therapy and start again with that one too. It can have a long slow firing tomorrow to put it back together again.

night all xxx
