Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

on, thanks for the interesting site. I did a bit of a recky over there, and they do look good. I am happy making my own signs, with my dragon logo. I like to have control of exactly what they say and the spacing has to be how I like, got that I may be a little bit of a control freak
I'm the same.

I had some made by them. There are sticky ones for the bus. One is an engraving of a picture of the gear box shift pattern and the other is the wording under the switches. The wording is done in blocks and each is located where you place them. The software is very smart.

Today was spent watching the man digging the huge hole for the next doors septic tank's arrival in a day or so plus the painters were also doing their bit. Saw our resident lizard so a new saucer shaped bowl is in position for it on the hot days to come. The corellas are just about all here for the summer, much to the dislike of some bird haters, they were here long before we were :D We are expecting some good rain in the next few days so no watering woo hoo. Time for bed so Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight WayneP x :D Once again thanks everyone for the birthday wishes xx

You got some good free entertainment happening, great way to spend a birthday. xxxx

We took a day out today. Felt different. He had his eyes tested and then we took the long way home via a local nursery and then onto our favourite foodworks grocery. I managed to find the only red camellia in the nursery. They have been really hard to find in red this year. Everyone else must want pink or white...boring. Then onto foodworks where we have been excluded, because it was out of our region . Like it's five minutes away, but we had to obey the rules, so we did. Anyway, it felt much better to be supporting a local family business, at last.

Had a surprise in the kiln when we got home. Along with a bowl/platter I had a couple of wine bottles getting some shape to them. When I put the kiln back on yesterday, I didn't really do a close inspection of the bottles. They looked ok from the front. Once I lifted up the shelf that had the platter on, I could see the ends of each bottle had broken into three bits. Obviously the bottles weren't happy when the kiln threw it's little hissy fit on the night before. No dramas, they cost me nothing, except time and kiln space. The platter is good. The central stripe has tiny specks of glitter through it and it just looks really good.

Put some little bits on to fire tonight. They are bases for Christmas trees, so not very interesting, but important all the same.

Deborah that platter is stunning, well done. Doesn't look like a very good crop of cherries this year, G had to spray the tree as the fruit was starting to go brown and falling off and the leaves brownish, curved and full of holes. I also got a beautifully hand made birthday card from my sister in Melb, she is the crafty one :D Heading off for a nice hot bath so Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight :D J-d x :D

Dot, we seem to be needing to spray for so many more things these days. Last year our tomato crop had been protected from fruit fly, only to find huge grubs living inside them (too big for fruit fly larvae). More research will be needed before they start to flower this year and different sprays will be needed. Hopefully it can be organic stuff, but it is a pain when you can see a crop and it just becomes inedible. No making delicious cherry jam for you this year then. xxxx

The bases for my glass Christmas trees look good, so that's another job done. I spent a lot of time cutting masses of tiny rectangles in blues and greys, to make a platter. It should have its first firing tomorrow, if the weather man is telling porkys again. He keeps giving us huge storm warnings and they just fizzle out. They are promising at least a months worth of rain, over the next 3 days....watch this space. If the storms do eventuate, I wont be firing the kiln and risking it being shut off, mid cycle.

Have finally got the full plans made for Easter, for us to be selling at a National Gem & Lapidary show, for the full 4 days of Easter. People, from other states, are already booking their caravans sites . So it sounds pretty impressive. Anybody needing to plan a weekend away, Mudgee sounds like the place to be for Easter ;) ;) ;)

You still watching the builders Dot? They must be worth the watching if they are in shorty shorts. xxxx

I pulled two flattened wine bottles out of the kiln today. They are now waiting for their next bendy firing. Tonight I put in the platter made from tiny rectangles. I think I counted 65 pieces, plus extra bits of trimmings, so it's interesting to see how well all the tiny bits will fire together.

No lawn bowls today for Shirley. We finally got rain. Not quite the heavy deluges that we were told to expect, but we did get an inch in the gauge. It was a wet day and we went into slow gear and did very little.

Gripe for today...... Why do those road workers put speed signs up and there is nothing being done? today going down to town it was 60ks pr hr right from Mt Barker to the toll gate at the bottom of the freeway, I was a good girl and sat on the 60 speed limit but cars and trucks were passing as if I was standing still??? And not one cop car or radar anywhere to be seen?? Got to my appointment 3 minutes late. Having the ultrasound guided steroid needle for my stuck trigger thumb tomorrow :) boo hoo. Oh yeah, as we headed off this morning we got about 3 ks up the road when I realized I had cleaned my fangs but forgot to put my plate in so home we go shove them in and off we go again.  Our resident lizard was making its way into G's shed so it got removed and put down the back. Pete the little corella was going berserk she does that screech if a wriggly stick or lizard is near her cage, a great alarm for the snake that doesn't get to see another day. 8-) Hope the borders stay safe for your markets Deborah. You Qld and NSW lot are going to get a real downpour so they say so keep away from low lying places. Off to bed now so Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Pet-els x :D
PS. No Deborah no perving as no shorts as well as me being too old now ;) ;)

Play bowls Tuesday & Thursday Deborah, played 21 ends today in miserable overcast chilly weather was amazed that we even went out to start & even more surprised that we managed to finish the game just before it started to rain.
