Bathurst practice

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Bathurst practice

Post by Greynomad »

Big battle for pole position…
Van Gizzy & Waters trading 1/100ths of a second on lap times. 😳
It’s shaping up to be a ripper weekend!
Can’t wait for the Top Ten Shootout…
You watching, Dottie?? 😁
Regards & God bless,
Ray

I must be getting old. 👨‍🦽
Practice lap time of 2m03.898!
Pole position for Mostert on 2m03.363!! :o

🤭
I remember when a Mini set the lap record at a whisker under 5m00…
And I remember the battle to break the 6m00 barrier!

How'd I go, Mosfet got pole and the qualifying lap record, Grizzy pushed back to 7th. The first 6 cars out each placed better than the last car out, great to watch.

Yep, let's all rush out and buy one on Monday. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
They sure are going fast though. You could throw a blanket over half the field.

That was what the 12 hr races were about, I hope they continue with them. The hybrids would really be interesting to see how they went and how their fuel economy compared to the ICE variants of the same model. Not sure how they'd do the pure EV's, the pit stop refuel would take a bit longer, but they could do they tyres, rotor and pad change, driver change and a meal break, all in the one stop

Did you watch the progression of the cameras in and out of the cars, Geeze they were wild and woolly back in the day... Hope the rain stays away. I bought some watermelon for the long sit down tomorrow, seeing as chips and nuts are a no go.

So, how long would it be before they change batteries every tyre stop. If they had an EV endurance race. They change just about everything else anyway during the race now. It wasn't all that long ago that the entire engine/ transmission package was replaced on Sat night before the big race.
