Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!
We thought about another trip some where, but it's gunna be mega hot over New Yrs, so besides where we were last time where the wind never stopped, we couldn't think of another cool spot beside the water .... well apart from staying home Hard to get the enthusiasm to pack up and travel local when the spot we've got ticks all the boxes and is already stocked up
Watch out for that crepe myrtle Dottie, if it gets roots under the house you are in real trouble. It near broke the foundation of our next door neighbours house back in Lake Illawarra, yrs before we bought the place. It kept springing up and the neighbour would be over the fence asking us to rip it out before it gained a hold and the saga started again ......

Yep gum trees from next door are doing the same thing Ray, but I am very kind and I give their roots a nice drink. She planted them 6 inches from the boundary. 2 gone 2 to go. Geeze it was hot today and hotter tomorrow. Don't know which is worse the weather or the ever growing covid cases that are keeping us indoors. Then there those "people" that set the old Parliament house on fire. and they want sympathy????? pleeese they are just snotty tax payers gimme gimme recipients.. Time they got jobs, went to school for some degrees run for parliament and change things, Spoke to HTFFBO last night, they are now at Boonah for a while. Next door have parked a car in the driveway but no sign of them moving in so I guess that is for the maybe thieves helping themselves to the new dishwasher, stove etc. Goodnight everyone x Goodnight Petels x
Queen of the Banal & OT chatter and proud of it. If it offends you then tough titty titty bang bang.
Dot, your neighbours could also use some lights with timers on them. We use a couple of sets of standard lamps with timers set to mimic the lights when we are at home. Seems to have worked so far for us (fingers crossed that's not a jinx). Take care in the heat mate, your sister has a thing for caring for pets too? xxxx
We started the day off ok and then went downhill as it got hotter than we expected. We went across the lake (by road) to our favourite little shop to get some fresh veggies. They surprised us by being in their nice big new shop across the road. They have been building the new shop all of last year, so good to finally have it up and running. We had to do a slow shop then, just to find out what new things they are now stocking. Once home and unpacked, we had a very late lunch and declared the afternoon (what was left of it) to be entertainment by the local and imported nongs on the lake. They didn't disappoint.
It is very "entertaining" to watch the people with excess funds try to wear out equipment on the water. But you have to wonder how some of them don't get seriously hurt, there a lots of submerged stumps and snags on Lake Mulwala and the river.
Speaking of lights, just remembered that our Christmas lights will still be on. Might have to get one of the neighbours to turn them off.
Cheers
