End of our travellling

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

End of our travellling

Post by Macca »

Happy New Year to all wonderful friends we have met since 2011 at Crystal Brook and on since then. Ones we have not met, hoping you also have a great 2022. We have to accept the inevitable that age has caught up- head not agreeing with what the body is telling us! Becoming hard work loading/unloading the van, too many fools on the road etc etc. We have a buyer for our van, our unofficial daughter in T'Ville and will be more upset about selling FLO. Stay safe, healthy, happy all of you.
Time is passing too quickly so live life to the full with your spouse/partner while you still have she/he by your side.

As my father used to say "this getting old is a bugger". It only seems like a couple of years ago that you, Erich / Lesley and Chuck / Katarina ( sorry if the spelling is wrong ) were camped at our place. Very welcome to camp in our flat if you get down this way.
Cheers John and Faye

Might have to change the forum name to something like "RV retirees forum"   I think a lot of us are also thinking along those lines Kay. Memories will be with you always. xx

Never good to hear about another traveller giving up a much loved lifestyle, but we will all reach that point I guess. Hope you enjoy your new form of travelling to see those that don't live close by .... a motorhome isn't as much work as a caravan ...... just saying ;) :D

Unfortunately, we're considering the same as Bruce and Kay, who we originally met at Kerang, and since then formed a good friendship .
We have mutually visited and stayed at each other's places when on nearby trips.

A couple of medical issues have speeded up our "thinking about it" processes
If and when the hard decision is made we still intend to travel, but do cabin type stays instead of free-range camping.
When we do decide to change our "away" times I'm considering selling the Ranger and Caravan as a complete unit with all the little bits that I fitted to make life easier still attached.
