ok, let's go back a step.
Did you read the users manual? It talks about how to set up the charging profile/battery type.

Ummm..... Who did that Peter? You will loose a lot of capacity yr on yr, even mth on mth, because they need to reach fully charged every so often. The Victron BMV will be way out of wack with its 100% SOC point ....

Re: Victron Solar controller's
I thought that you were asking about a setting for a mains charger ..... I wouldn't hand out advice on how to set up a Victron MPPT controller or BMV for a system I didn't install. that is the job of the installer to know just what they are doing rather than just throwing parts together and then expecting someone else to program in the correct settings .....

Re: Victron Solar controller's
He [Doc Wilson] was setting it at the recomended figure [I think 14.2] when it was suggested that it works better at 13.6.
I will check it out further when I contact him. Have you decided to go to STC yet ?

Re: Victron Solar controller's
I have had the new battery on solar only since last Monday..
Yep the old crappy one that was in the motorhome when bought. Including over cast days...it seems to get to 13.8v by the end of the day, we don't use much power.
I have been running the TV for around 15/18 hours each day on 12v, so far all good plus the car fridge 24/7. As a test.
Now when the battery reads 13 something volts the LEDs lights flicker. Only the multi bulbs not the singles.
Someone have a answer as to why.
Bernie.
